Especially in a fundamentally ideal, two parent (mother and father, to be clear) set up. It was the1987 remake of the 1985 French film, Trois Hommes ét un Couffin. (Three Men and a Cradle)

Three Men and a Baby is centered around a trio of bachelors who's lives get turned upside down when a baby girl ends up on the doorstep of their shared flat.

There was even a sequel in 1991 called Three Men and a Little Lady.

Of course, there is some true in what you say, but not really the wider scientific view about.
Thre is an evolutive (biologic / social) history of our species that shows father´s increasing involvement in kids. Is part of what leaded our humanization.
Insticts.......is a concept that needed some serious update since was coined.
We know better since then.
