Nope, I'd be concerned with a potential blood clot
Of course, that's partly because that has happened to my Mom, making her leg sore when nothing seemed to be the matter.
And I don't know medical, but a quick Google search suggest

While some muscle relaxants are generally considered safe, certain types and circumstances can increase the risk of blood clots.
Specifically, some muscle relaxants, especially when used in combination with other medications like warfarin, have been linked to an increased risk of thromboembolic events (blood clots in the lungs or elsewhere).
Additionally, the use of muscle relaxants in intensive care units (ICUs) has been associated with an increased risk of deep vein thrombosis (DVT), a blood clot in a deep vein, particularly in the legs.

My mum is 68 she’s suffered with a bad knee since September. She went to the doctor and physiotherapist multiple times and yet she could not get a diagnosis. In March she fell over in the garden and broke her rib. She’s on the mend but it’s a shock for everyone. You could try to be a bit more sympathetic.

Question her on the pain; where is it; how does it feel (hot, stabbing, cramp, etc). If she starts getting coy it's BS. I call my mum out on things like this and her go to is, "there's no need to panic", which translates to, "I'm a liar".
If she can answer the questions well, locate where she says it is and if it's a muscle pull you should be able to feel lumpiness in the muscle and she just needs to do the usual medication; heat and cold etc. Beyond that I can't help.

I think the real question is: does it matter if she fakes it for your attention? 🙈
Maybe just get her extra check ups to be sure but loose from that, spend some extra time with her ^^

Why would she fake something like that? There is no need to fake anything especially at her age (yes am guessing looking at yer age 36-40).
But wha do I know? Won't be surprised if people fake stuff like that. Not sure how u can catch her out.

@Sazzio i think it is very possible. Age is not the only factor

Every year i get a full body scan it can look at all the arteries, veins and everything and check for clots etc...it wouldn't hurt
CrazyMusicLover · 31-35
She can have leg pain radiating from her spine and it might be hard to locate where exactly is the problem.
BittersweetPotato · 31-35, F
It is a possibility. Not based on this post, but if you know her in general that she could do something like this for attention, then it is possible.
Adidas11 · 41-45, M
She is not faking it. People older than 65 have joint pains and it's normal. That's why old age is different from young age.

Who knows

Likely real. Might be serious or not. Believe and support her unless this is part of a MUCH longer pattern.
Believe her.

what did the doctor say? did they do tests? somethings can't be seen with your eyes
@UndeadSona They didn't take her to get seen, no doubt... just accused her of faking being sick here.

Pain is subjective. Her pain is not like your pain
RedBaron · M
I have no idea.
KA9ha · 31-35, M

DeluxedEdition · 26-30, F
Take her to the hospital
Jenny1234 · 56-60, F
No, she needs to go to the doctor
Jenny1234 · 56-60, F
I want to tell you that for the past year and a half. I’ve had bad leg pain every night. Sure some naproxen helped and so did the CBD cream but nothing really took it away and I haven’t slept well in ages. It turns out it was related to a hernia. Please take your mom to the doctor.
Does she have anal leakage? If so she should see a doc asap

Sounds like my mother, always faking for attention.
