Do you think my mom is faking pain for attention?

It’s been going on three weeks she has had pain in her leg. Now she tried a muscle relaxant and says it’s making it worse. Something doesn’t add up.

Nope, I'd be concerned with a potential blood clot

Of course, that's partly because that has happened to my Mom, making her leg sore when nothing seemed to be the matter.

And I don't know medical, but a quick Google search suggest

While some muscle relaxants are generally considered safe, certain types and circumstances can increase the risk of blood clots.

Specifically, some muscle relaxants, especially when used in combination with other medications like warfarin, have been linked to an increased risk of thromboembolic events (blood clots in the lungs or elsewhere).

Additionally, the use of muscle relaxants in intensive care units (ICUs) has been associated with an increased risk of deep vein thrombosis (DVT), a blood clot in a deep vein, particularly in the legs.
