If you won the lottery what would be the first thing you would do?

Invest, invest, invest! Seems people who do win the lottery or large amounts of money just go about spending it like they’re millionaires. But that’s exactly how people who win go broke fast! People tend to forget that wealthy people can spend big and own the luxurious things they do because they just don’t have a lot of money, they’re also making a lot of money at the same time. I’m not a big spender on myself anyway, but if I were to go on a spending spree, I’d make sure to invest in something that would keep making me money to replenish the amount I’m spending.

I already won the lottery: I have two beautiful kids, and many nice friends.

Hire the finest attorneys money can buy...........and accountants..........to find the best LEGAL ways to beat the system for taxation. Then allocate a set percentage for spending each year.....stick to it.........and invest the rest in trusts to provide support for all in my family for as long as it lasted......generationally.

The amount matters .. a million or 2 likely isn't going to see me retire. Some financial and tax stuff ahead of claiming. Get that number up to microphone-drop /walkaway $$ and a lot more has to happen before claiming and retiring.

A "problem" I'd be glad to handle either way. ;-)

Pay off my husband's debts .. rebuild the house with stone and a pool.. fence more of the yard.. low enough for deer to jump over.. go on vacation to visit family .. maybe move idk how much did i win? 😅

There will be signs. Finish the house, help family and true friends, be comfortable.

I would like to help some people around me. Some are my relatives and some are my acquaintances.

I would then reach out to an Attorney.

1. Pay my blessing forward, donate to local and international charities; ensure my friends and family members were debt free and well housed.

2. Build a home of my own, then take a vacation.

3. Invest the remainder

I would ask anyone i knew for a small amount of money. Something not beyond their means and with a quick promise of payback. Anyone that says no is cut out of my future life.

Donate to animal shelters & adopt some more fur babies

Help a few friends out of tough situations.

Pay my bills off, get a huge Prevost rv and travel, then find a house with lots of land, then start a rescue dog sanctuary.

Depends how much it was but probably not much. I like my life more or less as it is, probably move to a place with a yard and a garage.

go on a nice vacation with my SO and think about how i want to spend the money lol (or save it)

Most average people are clueless about managing money. They simply have no idea how much even $1 million is in relationship to their current annual income. They simply don't know how to manage money.

Pay off every credit card and close out the ones that don't have good enough rewards.

Buy a yacht and live on it at the marina.

Go to a fancy Thai restaurant😂 then buy a Lamborghini
