How do dreams affect your life?

Sometimes I wake up thinking that "I wanted to stay asleep just to see what would happen in my dreams".
It also affects me cause I feel real emotions during my dreams. I talk to people in dreams but couldnt clearly see their faces and when I wake up, I wonder what happened to him/them? Who is he? Is he even a real person?

Does any of you feel the same?

People in my dreams are usually made up. The things I cherish most are the ones with people who I once knew. I had dreams of hanging out with my best friend from 4+ years ago. We’re no longer close in distance and in friendship, but we had lots of fun back then. I saw my childhood friends sometimes too. I see my beautiful crush. I see my fears, from being alone to taking an exam I’ve never studied for. I even lived in a zombie apocalypse as if I was one of the leads in a live action movie.

Dreams don’t always make sense, but the emotions that come with them that remind me that I’m alive.

I think I understand that dreams are messages from your subconscious intended to better prepare you for the challenges you’re facing in waking life. As for not wanting to wake up so soon, you always wake up from a dream any time you start to get excited. Isn’t that so frustrating?! Now I’ve read that when this happens you can get back to sleep and resume the dream by, I think either frantically rubbing your hands together or by rolling over in your bed? But I’ve tried those methods and never had any success with them myself.
I sometimes dream about a better life. Being awake sucks

They want me to do things but unfortunately, the feeling isn't lasting. If I have a dream about traveling or being in a foreign city, I'm tempted to go on a trip, I start looking at options, how much would it cost, what would be pros and cons, but frankly, I haven't gone on any yet.

Sometimes it happens to me
Like I was thinking something before sleep then I'll dream about the same matter and I'll wake up with tht same topic in my mind
It'll stay with me a longtime
I hardly can forget
It's good if I can just sleep without thinking about anything 🤦‍♀️

My dreams are of such felonious actions, that I'm fortunate to only have them in my sleep. However, I will say if I've had a particularly enjoyable dream, it brings forth cheerfulness in me projected outwards to others.

I'm bound to be more kind, friendly and tolerant of others, if my mindset is of cheer. On the other hand, if my dream was unfulfilled, I'm sort of midpoint attitude and if I totally missed out on enjoyment, I'm a prick.

If I don't recall the dream, it's just "Another day" and so I am without intolerance or patience.

I feel the same. And hoping to get back there in that dream
ymmuyummy · 26-30, F
@Rose0013 when i woke up i try to get back on my sleep, sometimes it continues for a short time only
Some dreams make me happy and some make me sad.
But it's all lasts only for short while.

I don't remember my dreams at all

Good dreams makes my whole day, I feel confident, indestructible! Also lucid dreams.

But my trauma nightmares that comes with my CPTSD disorder makes me afraid of going to bed, and can put me in a flashback dissociation state all day. And unfortunately they are what I most often dream of.

It doesn't.

Its always the other way around...Some past happenings in my lifespan recurrs as the beginnings of the dream which continues till i wake up with a jerk....
thepreposterouspanda · 36-40, M
They don't particularly. I didn't have them for a long, long time, and they've only just started happening again recently. 🤔

It's an odd feeling haha.
pride49 · 31-35, M
Wish I never woke up.
ymmuyummy · 26-30, F
@pride49 why?
pride49 · 31-35, M
@ymmuyummy because life is monotonous and boring and in my dreams I can be what I wish. Not this...stagnant bullcrap
