Could Extremely Lucid Dreams actually Be Alternative Realities?

I'd like to think so, even though I cannot "prove" this of course. I have the most amazing, full-colour, 3D, surround sound, tactile dreams imaginable. They're coherent, consistent, and have the same laws of physics as this world. I never have those stereotypical dreams where people report flying through the air, walking on water, or walking through walls. If I ever did, I'd instantly know that I was dreaming, and wake up straight away.
Quite often the dream will be so nice, so real, and so much better than this world, that upon awakening I'll instantly regret that I couldn't stay over there permanently.

Nah but those flying dreams are awesome. The problem I have with lucid dreams is that it shows me how unimaginative my brain is. I feel like I could squeeze so much more out of it, yet what I create is often mundane and I don't know what to do. I also don't know how far I can go before waking up. I already learned that anything sexual is off the table because I'd wake up.

@CrazyMusicLover I know nothing 🤐🤭
I have a really long answer to this... but short answer is.. i dont know. The short hypothesis is that there is only one reality, but it has so many layers, we can't process them all at once. Kind of like a computer processor stores its data in different banks.. so.. think of it like a map on top of a map on top of a map.. etc.. they are all maps of the same place, but they are detailing different layers. I think essotericism attempts to explain this concept as each layer being a "plane of existence" but it is hard to say if we are ever truly seperated from each layer. Most mystics believe we exist in all layers at once but can only percieve them one or two at a time because of how complex each layer is. That being said.. i have shared dreams with people before in a place i refer to as the "mental plane" it freaks people out every time when i ask them "did you dream about xxxxx?" Somehow when it happens, i always know that it was a shared experience too.. like something in me picks up on it and recognizes that it is different.. still havent found anyone to talk to about it though.. most people just think im crazy.. but the ones i have had shared experiences with.. its like knowing i was in their dream is too much for them.. when i start describing their dream acurrately, they just freak out, shut down and exit my life..
I've had flying dreams, breathing under water dreams,falling a long way and landing safely dreams, etc. In my dreams the laws of physics and chemistry don't always hold. I also only remember a fraction of my dreams. Often, as I wake up I say to myself "I really want to remember this dream" and a moment later it's gone.

I wake up feeling the same way at times. But from what i know about psychology and dreams is that dreams are part of our subconscious. Though, a dream itself, i wouldn't classify it as reality but in some way you have lived it somehow. Also, being a christian myself, i believe God can interact with us through dreams (very rarely) but this would be a form of reality if it did happen.

I hope so! I have some RRREEEAAALLLLLLYYY nice ones. 😁
Think about the amount of things that can alter brain chemistry. Foods, drinks, smells, music, drugs, illness, and so on. Then apply Occam's Razor to the reasonings. When there’s two equal explanations, go with the simplest and most likely.
@BlueSkyKing Ockham's Razor is just a guide, not a law of nature.
@Cassie2083 So we can ignore likely possibilities in favor of the unlikely? It’s your anecdote.

If this is the case then I'm still suicidal killing myself over and over in another dimension while trying to be happy in this one. 🤔

(I like to jump from skyscrapers when I lucid dream)
@Queendragonfly Could it be the case that whenever you "commit suicide" in one of these alternative realities your existence in that specific reality comes to an end, and the next time you do it it's in another, but similar, reality?
Queendragonfly · 31-35, F
@Cassie2083 I guess. I mean if lucid dreams are real then anything is possible.

But my experience is I'm going back to that same skyscraper roof and jump because I know it's a dream, so I'm not dying, I'm just falling.

Only if you’re hot

I would prefer to believe that all universes exist within this dimension, but resonate on different frequencies in unison, and this is what constitutes the molecular architecture we believe to be vacant.

Everything is made of energy including us and our dreams, so who's to say that our dreams are not as real as we are?
walabby · 61-69, M
The Monroe Institute in VA researches this sort of thing...
@Cassie2083 @Cassie2083 @Cassie2083 I don't think we're capable of viewing even this reality when we're sleeping. I'm almost certain.
@Roundandroundwego You didn't answer my question. What makes you so certain?
@Cassie2083 because there's no evidence that any such visions are true. Remote viewing has been studied and it's not real. Perception of the outer world doesn't happen during sleep. You still don't have to admit that's an answer. Post truth warriors hate the ecosystem so much that you should totally screw with people and waste your time babbling and telling lies for fun until you get this planet killed!
You beat us! Destroy that thing!
