Could Extremely Lucid Dreams actually Be Alternative Realities?

I'd like to think so, even though I cannot "prove" this of course. I have the most amazing, full-colour, 3D, surround sound, tactile dreams imaginable. They're coherent, consistent, and have the same laws of physics as this world. I never have those stereotypical dreams where people report flying through the air, walking on water, or walking through walls. If I ever did, I'd instantly know that I was dreaming, and wake up straight away.
Quite often the dream will be so nice, so real, and so much better than this world, that upon awakening I'll instantly regret that I couldn't stay over there permanently.

I've had flying dreams, breathing under water dreams, falling a long way and landing safely dreams, etc. In my dreams the laws of physics and chemistry don't always hold. I also only remember a fraction of my dreams. Often, as I wake up I say to myself "I really want to remember this dream" and a moment later it's gone.
