@NativePortlander1970 My bathroom with the shower is really bright since we changed the shower ceiling fixture. I accidentally dropped the old one’s cover when I was removing it to clean it. It shattered and I got Eli to try to locate a new cover. It would have cost as much as a new light fixture. It was mentioned to a worker at the car lot. He does a lot of home maintenance and had bought a 5 pack of new fixtures and had only used one. He drove out to the house after work and put the new one up for us. We put an LED light bulb in it and WOW it lit up that shower so good and the bathroom got brighter too. I told him it was a good thing that the cover got broken on the old one. I love a brightly lit bathroom especially when I am cleaning.

@cherokeepatti Back in the 70's when blacklight posters were all the rage my youngest paternal uncle as a joke put a blacklight in the family bathroom where he lived with his family, my grandparents, and another uncle, when he turned it on as a test he was horrified, he spent three hours doing a super deep clean with soapy bleach water and a repirator he got from the local fire department he was a volunteer firefighter at.

@NativePortlander1970 I’ve done the same thing. But every bit of lint also shows up and residue from certain cleaning products as well. It really came in handy after my last cat had developed diabetes. She was peeing so many times a day. I took my black light to check out around the area and there would be urine splattered on the wall next to the litter box. So I’d clean it when I saw it. I’ve also used in the kitchen.

@Fishy To deal with my terminal cardiopulmonary disease caused by two bouts of blood clots in my lungs in 2013 and 2016. But because my portable oxygen tanks when I go out makes me a target for those who prey in those they perceive as weaker than them, I carry concealed.
