On a military cargo plane C-141 laying under a tank on the floor flying to the middle east. I was the first one under the tank and stretched out, and I woke up when I got over heated and looked around to see the floor was covered with soldiers sleeping around me.

I get in a car, bus, train etc as a passenger and are asleep within about 15 mins. I have gone to sleep at my desk and in the waiting room prior to a job interview. It scares me sometimes.

On a crowded overnight ferry across the Irish Sea from Fishguard to Rosslare, I needed somewhere to sleep away from the noisy, cheerful, brightly-lit hubbub. I found the top of a lifejacket-locker under a shelter-deck at the stern. Cosy in a sleeping-bag on a camping-mat, I was fine, in the open air, in a dark corner, lulled to sleep by the loud but steady engine and sea noises.
