Not a weird place by any means but perhaps the most unexpected place I have nodded off, was in a theatre during a very loud rock concert.
On a crowded overnight ferry across the Irish Sea from Fishguard to Rosslare, I needed somewhere to sleep away from the noisy, cheerful, brightly-lit hubbub. I found the top of a lifejacket-locker under a shelter-deck at the stern. Cosy in a sleeping-bag on a camping-mat, I was fine, in the open air, in a dark corner, lulled to sleep by the loud but steady engine and sea noises.
