Gaining weight tips?

I am very skinny. I want to increase muscle power and increase my bmi on a vegan/vegetarian diet. Internet is full of knowledge and it's been overwhelming. Any suggestions or ideas you have?

If you want to gain muscle, consume ALL the protein. Beans, tempeh, tofu, seitan, soy milk with EVERY SINGLE MEAL and throw in some protein shakes and protein bars for extra effect. Go to the gym. Run a mile, do a couple full body resistance exercises to failure, a few reps each. i do bench presses and squats. Repeat over and over again, increasing the weight when you can do so without sacrificing form. Add additional exercises over time as you build discipline. You'll look like Ronnie Coleman in no time.

Very difficult to gain muscle size on a vegan diet. You need animal protein!

@Docdon23 what do you eat? Whats your diet?
Docdon23 · M
@bill117 very healthy foods--quinoa, beans, Amaranth, blueberries, salad, beets, tomatoes, celery, nuts, bananas, avocadoes, peaches, apples, broccoli, cauliflower, salsa, grains, rice, bread, peanut butter, jelly, almond milk, coconut milk, nutritional yeast, eggplant, squash, oatmeal, lots of Asian, Indian, Mexican, ethnic foods...and a whole lot more! The vegan food i eat, and I have been vegan for over 22 years, tastes better than what I used to eat by far, and is healthier. My doctor in fact was shocked at the improved blood tests and asked to borrow the book I started with, by heart doctor Caldwell Esselstyne.
