How to get rid of gut

After I quit smoking, I gained 40lbs. And got this gut that sticks out. What can I do, other than eating less sugar, to help lessen the gut sticking out?

Less sugar is big, but you need to dramatically cut your carb intake too. Try protein, about 6oz for lunch and dinner. Mix in a salad at least once a day and be careful of the dressing.

Others have mentioned working out. Definitely try to go hard for 15 minutes to start. Then ramp it up to a half hour daily.

Men should easily be able to drop 15-20lbs in just the first month IF you stick with the plan.

Count calories - which also means you have to be efficient in eliminating empty calories for foods that have adequate proteins and nutrients -
