Depends on how it was made. You really don't have to put sugar in jam. In fact my mother never did when she made her own. It does require a gel though. Which the gel is actually good for you as well.

I really like jam , like, jam on fresh bread was a real treat.

I stopped eating it, and stopped eating toast. Giant carbs and sugar with both. BUT...Polaner makes some nice sugar free jams and jellies.

It's basically beery flavored sugar that is heated to softball stage. The vitamins are long gone by that point. One is probably better off making an uncooked "compote" of crushed ripe fruit with honey or maple syrup but it will not last very long.
