It's almost like he's a masochist of sorts. People on 4chan have been making fun of him for more than a decade, and he's also been rejected by women in real life for more than a decade, yet he never changes his approach.

But yeah, focusing on his goals and getting healthy is excellent advice. I'll tell this to him. Hope he actually listens for once. And yeah, it is attractive as hell.

Yeah, every woman is different, though no woman will accept him as he currently is. If he changes he can sure accomplish great things, but not if he doesn't. But yeah, some people can become more attractive over time.

Yeah, consensual relationships do indeed cut both ways. And yeah, not everyone wants an attractive person to stay just a friend. In some cases joking about being in the "friendzone" is a cope for insecure feelings.

As for him changing his personality, technically it wouldn't be hard if he tried to change it little by little, baby steps, but if he refuses to change then it's impossible.

Oh no, he's definitely not happy. He does nothing but complain about his life all the time. About how ugly he is. About how broke he is. All that stuff. And yet he puts zero effort into changing, and refuses to take advice that me and others give him.

@Blondily It's unfortunately not fake. He's really bad at taking photos. He's already not very attractive and yet he always takes pics from the worst possible angles and always makes weird faces. It's like dude why not take a regular photo?

But all of your advice sounds excellent, actually! I think you've pretty much covered all possible bases in regards to appearance, work, personality, and basically everything. I'll make sure to let him know. Really hope he doesn't blow off my advice like he always does.

And yeah, results without the work is never gonna get you anywhere. Maybe in the very beginning you'll make a tiny bit of progress, but plateau really soon. And yup. He needs a job. Been unemployed for over 5 years. "Temporarily unemployed" my ass.

@Nevertooold Seems you misunderstood, or perhaps my fault for not explaining things clearly. But he himself calls himself ugly all the time. And when I tried saying he's not ugly in the past he didn't listen to me. So eventually I was just like "you're right, you're not gonna listen to me anyway, so you're right, you're ugly." And he constantly cries about being ugly and yet does nothing to improve his appearance.

I do try treating him like an adult, but yet he refuses to take my advices or anyone else's. He complains and complains and yet refuses to make any changes. At age 34 he definitely should know better. But he acts like an immature 14 year old instead.

@OlderSometimesWiser That's EXACTLY what I've been trying to tell him, but he won't fucking listen, lol. It also doesn't help that I'm about a decade or so younger than him, so he thinks he knows everything and I know nothing.

@Husher Sigh...well I tried. I fucked tried. I kind of expected him to ignore my advice anyway, but it's always disappointing nonetheless. Even when he explicitly asks for advice he just ends up ignoring it or making up excuses why he can't take the advice.

Worst thing is he never listens to neither people younger than him OR older than him, and not even people the same age as him. At first I thought it was because a 34 year old didn't wanna listen to someone in their 20s, but he doesn't listen to older people either, including his own parents.

@YoMomma 100% agree. That's pretty much exactly how he treats women. And then he wonders why he's never had a girlfriend or even female friends, and why most women avoid him like the plague. As a 34 year old man he should already know this. He's 34, not a horny 14 year old boy.
