Back in high school was my crush's angry reaction to me "forgetting" to say thank you to her when holding the door normal?

So to clear things up first obviously I know high school was a long time ago at age 25 and is irrelevant to my life today... but I'm still curious. It's one of the things that stayed in my mind. For context this was back when I was 16 and in the 10th... See More »

If this applies to you, when you were a kid what's the dumbest reason other kids didn't like you?

For me I was hated and bullied by the other kids anyway but the dumbest specific individual reason other kids didn't like me ignoring everything else (and this was back in 2nd grade) was that "I laughed too much and smiled too much"... yeah,... See More »

Is it normal to not be able to understand what people are saying when there's A LOT of noise?

Poll (18) See Poll Options

So what I mean is say you're at a party and the music is really REALLY loud are you able to understand what your friends (or whoever you're with) are... See More »

Do you think that a bad person who knows they are a bad person, or a bad person who believes they are a good person is worse?

This question has actually been on my mind a lot for so many years and I could never decide which is the right answer. Like on one hand at least the... See More »

Why does it always seem like whenever me and another person get into a fight or whatever everyone else takes the other person's side?

Why does it always seem like whenever me and another person get into a fight or whatever everyone else takes the other person's side and I get punished worse than the other person while the other person gets to walk free? And this can apply to both... See More »

What was the most painful scene you've ever seen in a cartoon?

For me it's the scene above and it's not even close. I guess worst scenes do technically possibly exist but just the thought of removing your skin with a cheese grater and then rubbing lemons on it and putting salt on it...

Does this image creep you out at all?

This may sound like a silly question but someone shared this image online and at first I was like whatever cute girl but then I found out about really creepy theories surrounding this image. Theories such as this girl is actually a corpse and has... See More »

What's the most "unearned" compliment you've ever gotten?

By "unearned" I mean a compliment you got basically for nothing or for something very basic that wouldn't warrant a compliment. A compliment that feels patronizing and/or condescending but unintentionally so. I'll give some examples of this... See More »

When was the first time in life you realized how shallow people could be about other's physical appearances?

For me, it was back in 3rd grade when I was 9 years old. Though most kids in the class were 8 if I recall correctly as I started 1 year late. We had come back to school from a break in that same year. Can't quite recall if it was the Thanksgiving... See More »

Ever dislike/hate someone you know yet at the same time kind of feel sorry for them?

For me, this was the case with a boy I knew back in middle school, 8th grade, when I was 14. He was one of the very, very few kids who was even more unpopular than me. And not even I wanted to be his friend, though he desperately wanted to be... See More »

Do you that that it's racist for a White teacher to "correct" a Black student speaking using AAVE?

If you don't know what AAVE is, it's basically the way African-Americans/Black Americans speak in their own communities, which is usually different than the way White Americans speak. "AAVE" stands for "African-American Vernacular English." So... See More »

As a small child what was the most simple, innocent lesson you had to learn the hard way?

TL;DR At the bottom. So this took place when I was like 7 years old in the 1st grade. My favorite color was blue. But I had this male best friend who I was absolutely crazy for, for some reason. I was practically gay for him. Not even quite sure why... See More »

What was the funniest instance you've seen of someone using a word they don't even know the meaning of?

For me, this was on an internet video so I don't know if this counts as much, but anyway, this was somewhat of a public freakout video. A middle aged man was berating a guy in his late teens/very early 20s for seemingly unknown reasons. And the... See More »

When you were a kid or teen at school, what was the stupidest "game" that the kids used to play?

For me it was this game when a kid would literally lie down on their side on the floor, and then another kid would kick them repeatedly as hard as they could in the stomach, and whoever could hold out the longest without tapping out won. Like they... See More »

Anyone else get depressed watching fun fictional films where the characters go to other worlds and have several adventures and stuff?

TL;DR At the bottom. The reason I get depressed is because imagining myself in those films sounds so much fun, and then I go back to the real world and it's nothing like that. In those films, for example, the characters have amazing powers, they... See More »

How can my "ugly" friend improve his appearance to have better success with women?

Before you say anything, yes, I did have clear and explicit permission from him to use this photo, and it was him in fact that told me to use his picture online to see what advice I could get for him. But he's really insecure about being "ugly."... See More »

When someone insults you and/or calls you out on something and what they say is actually CORRECT, what should you do?

Whenever this happens I'm clueless. I WANT to insult them back but if what they said is actually true then I can't really say anything. So I just stay quiet. A more or less recent example that happened to me went something like: Person: "So you... See More »

Everyone I come across always seems to hate me and every time I try to be nice it only seems to make it worse.

Story of my life, basically. And to make it worse it's not just in real life, but online as well. Like every little thing I say or write someone seems to take offense to. They're just sort of like "Really dude? Are you serious right now?" And then... See More »
