Literally every Russian fighter bomber that has been flying sorties over Ukraine and launching cruise missiles from the Black Sea, Belarus, and Mother Russia are capable of carrying and launching nukes. The fact that a few Bears were nearby signifies nothing.

Update: Putin has annexed the four far eastern provinces of Ukraine, and has had signing ceremonies with self-styled leaders of said provinces. Since they are not legitimate leaders of Ukraine, Zelensky will contest this, and has applied for membership in NATO.

The bombers made their appearance just prior to this annexation, and were apparently there as a threat only, in case Zelensky chose to contest the annexation.

The real enemy has already moved in.

Things are about to get real.

Not much to do about it if they’re in Russia albeit near Finland. “ Nuclear capable” doesn’t mean they’re carrying. Who needs manned bombers when you have ICBMs?
Same thing with the former USAF Strategic Air Command. Bombers here and there and ICBMs plus the U.S. Navy submarines w/ nuclear capable weapons prowling the oceans.
