God didn't make us to be robots. Choices matter. God doesn't send people to hell. They go there because in their present state, theirsinskeep them separated from their Holy Heavenly Father, who is so holy, he cannot even look upon sin. If they any will just ask Jesus, whom God the Father appointed as Mediator between God and man, to forgive their sins, and they turn away from them to a new life in Christ, their sins can no longer condemn them. They'll be fit for heaven.
There's no reason why any soul has to miss heaven. God has not even asked us to do a single thing, except to trust him and believe He will rescue us [ANY WHO ASK per John 3:16 and 17] from the condemnation SIN placed on them. To forgive us. Jesus never came to condemn, but to saveevery soul who comes to Him, asking him to save them.He turns no one away.
Being asked by the Pharisees when the kingdom of God was coming, he answered them, “The kingdom of God is not coming with signs to be observed; nor will they say, ‘Lo, here it is!’ or ‘There!’ for behold, the kingdom of God is in the midst of you.”
(Given that the question came from the Pharisees who largely opposed him, it’s difficult to think that Jesus meant the Pharisees had embraced the kingdom of heaven. Even his closest disciples, including the apostles, had not yet been baptized, by which they and all Christians become “temples of the Holy Spirit” (1 Cor. 6:9), i.e., in which God and the power of his kingdom dwells with us.)
(Given the time frame in which Jesus spoke his words, “the kingdom of God is in the midst of you” refers to his being the King and that he was in their midst advancing his kingdom through his teaching, including the Sermon on the Mount, and the signs and wonders that also illustrated what his kingdom would be like. So Jesus was teaching the Pharisees and others that the kingdom was available to them, within their reach, if only they became his disciples. It’s an implicit reference to their made in the image and likeness of God (Gen. 1:26-27), and that they thereby had the God-given ability to cooperate with God’s grace to make the kingdom of God a reality.)
So I'm watching Yellowstone on Amazon and Gail came up with this quote. I love it and she isn't wrong. "I remember the stories of heaven and hell in church. Lies, a lot of it. I think heaven's right here. So is hell. One person can be walking the clouds right next to a person enduring eternal damnation, and God is the land."
@Lichocolati So here’s the deal. I’m a Christian. I believe in God and surrendered myself to him a long time ago. I know I’m going to heaven. I also know God knows my heart and has a sense of humor. He and I commune in our own personal way.
My Bible teaches that it is NOT our choice, but God who chooses who is His. I don't mean this argumentatively. I was just tossing that in there. It's paradoxical because those whom God chooses, believe, and are baptized to represent obedience, death of self and life in Christ anyway! So, if you accept God's gift, and believe, and are baptized, then you are one of the elect whom God chose before time. The result is the same whether you focus on election and predestination or not! 😊
@Adstar Sorry about your depression, but "Calvinism" and "Arminianism" are just labels that mean nothing. "The scripture is of no private interpretation." The eleventh commandment is. "YOU DO TOO KNOW WHAT I MEAN."
@Oberon1 God is long suffering towards us not willing that any should perish but that all should come to repentance and be saved.. the calvinist cult denies this.. And miss interprets other scriptures in a way denies this and preaches that God created some people to be saved and others he created to to end up in eternal torment in the eternal lake of fire.. I don't know about you but i would hate to be standing before God on the day of judgement to give him an account as to why i believed in such a doctrine..
2 Peter 3: KJV 8 "But, beloved, be not ignorant of this one thing, that one day is with the Lord as a thousand years, and a thousand years as one day. {9} The Lord is not slack concerning his promise, as some men count slackness; but is longsuffering to us-ward, not willing that any should perish, but that all should come to repentance."
The scripture is not for private interpretation of calvin and his followers..

Yes i know its amazing but so many people mock the love of Jesus and hate his mercy.. It's insane to reject the most awesome gift in existence.. But tragically millions do..
@Grateful4you Please stop apologizing! You did nothing wrong! We ARE still human beings (unfortunately) and sometimes others push us over the edge for a moment.

@fernie2 HAHAHAHAHAHA! Read your own comment, that's exactly what YOU did to this woman's post!😂🤣😂🤣
@Lichocolati (P)robably the worst of all of Jesus’ ideas is the teaching of hell. He did not invent the concept of eternal punishment, but the promotion of the Christian doctrine of hell originated with Jesus. In the Old Testament, hell is just death or the grave. With Jesus, hell became a place of everlasting torment. In Mark 9:43, Jesus said that hell is “the fire that never shall be quenched.” In Matthew 13:41- 42, Jesus gives us a graphic (and almost gleeful) description of the place he created: “The Son of man shall send forth his angels, and they shall gather out of his kingdom all things that offend, and them which do iniquity; and shall cast them into a furnace of fire: there shall be wailing and gnashing of teeth.” Hitler’s gas ovens were horrendous and the suffering was unspeakable, but they did not burn forever. The murdered victims of the Holocaust suffer no more, but the victims of God’s anger will scream forever and ever.
In hell you get to keep your soul and emotions. In heaven God requires you to give up your free will since free will is what caused the fall and he will not allow you to feel sadness or have tears. So you won't be able to have empathy or even cry from happiness. So in heaven you become a soulless unfeeling monster. In hell its no worse than earth.
@canusernamebemyusername OH! That explains a lot! Trump IS in your hell. Tell me, How do you know all of that. That's pretty descriptive since there's absolutely no evidence that there IS a hell or that any of that happens. Where do you get your information?
@fernie2 Oh I don't believe in the supernatural. I was just using the Christian legendarium to make a point. When tr*mp dies he will be dead and equal to everyone else. Which to him would be worse than an actual hell anyway. Lol
If you're willingly to spend eternity in that boring place full of vanilla perfectionist people, centered around the veneration of its leader, feel free to.
I'll be sipping my eternal whisky, if you want to join, by the banks of the Phlegethon 🥃
Bifurcation Fallacy... pretending there are only two possibilities, when if fact there’s a third. Just be dead. Given the lack of necessity for any sort of god, or indeed for magical entities of any stripe, that third option is the default position.
nothing would be what it is because everything would be what it isn't. and contrariwise, what it is, it wouldn't be, and what it wouldn't be, it would.
