I never got the lesson on how human female breasts are meant to be sexual/erotic. Had zero teaching about anything to do with sex from parents (they divorced when I was 12) or at school, and had no sexual experience until my mid-20's and it was a series of fumbles and mis-steps for quite a few years.
I am fairly certain I was not breast fed as a baby, so I would never have got 'wired' to find breasts sexually attractive. I think they are, but it's not automatic nor do I know what to do if I'm trying to be intimate. Last intimacy of any kind for me was 8 yrs ago when second ex and I were trying to make our daughter (it didn't work and required IVF which also failed then egg donor).
You can ask the same sort of questions about why a woman would think a man's penis is sexually attractive if not conditioned by society to think so. Or why some women think other women are sexually attractive, or some men think other men are sexually attractive. It's societal conditioning mostly.
I lived with my mum after the divorce until I left home in my mid-20's. Mum expressly forbade anything with girls (which didn't matter as I had no interest in girls and really didn't even know what sex was in school or uni) so I probably would have got a tirade of anger if I'd actually been interested in sex and talked about girls or wanted to have girls come over as friends. To me sex was something never to be talked about that only other people did.
My parents are both passed away so can't ask about my early childhood from their perspective, and dad had no contact with me from about age 16 until his death.

No, I have friends who aren't particularly interested in breasts (they prefer bottoms). I do love breasts and think they are sexy. I also understand that they are nurturing and not just for sensual attraction. I know women who find breasts sexy. In answer to your question, I can't remember when it was or why I started to see breasts as desirable. I have thought about it, but I think it was a slow realisation through puberty.

I can only give my female perspective on this. I have always loved breasts since I was a young teenager. I remember stealing a Playboy magazine when I was 16 as I was too young to buy it from the newsagent, I would hide it at the back of my bookshelf and get it out if I wanted to masterbate when no one was home . Then when I turned 18 and moved out of home I could buy all of the boobs magazines from the city sex shops and of course porn videos. I think it’s just a preference but I can see how anyone couldn’t love beautiful soft breasts and nipples 😁

@EarthTiger Nobody can ever answer the question of why though. I've had so little experience with them sexually (and not seen any naked boobs for nearly 10 years). I read all the responses from people blindly believing it's impossible to not be automatically attracted to boobs without being able to explain why it has to be that way purely objectively.
There are plenty of subjective answers (oh they look nice, feel nice, produce nice reactions in a woman when touched, etc.).
Some might say it's an intrinsic part of "human design'. If so where is the objective scientific evidence and proof?

I think almost every part of our anatomy can be sensual in addition to its utilitarian function. Some guys are "boob men" while others are ass men. Some guys are a sucker for a woman with nice legs. Some like the womanly curves of hips and backs. Similarly, women might like a guys stomach, or arms, or ass.
I understand why some women say "I don't get it, they're just breasts. Every woman has them." But I also understand how many will reply with "Yeah, but they're also so much more!"
We're all a wonderful combination of things learned and innate, including what we find beautiful and sexy.

Bouncing with joy, a pair of delight,
They wiggle and jiggle in morning light.
Playful companions in life's little dance,
Adding a sparkle with every glance.
Cheeky partners in a whimsical scene,
Forever charming, a sight so keen

Does a boy really think of a girl's breasts as sensual and sexual unless someone tells him?
In my experience the answer to this is yes, I was interested before I even knew what they were called. It wasn't about any kind of taboo, just basic instinctual attraction. My guess is that these things are different from male to male somewhat. Like I'm not attracted to feet at all, yet some men are.
robertsnj · 56-60, M
i like the way women react to having them touched. the small pieces, arching her back or craning hr neck when touched--try not to be too x rated on your thread.
in a less sexual they feel nice and warm against my chest / like in a casual hug or something

We homo sapiens walk upright, so they're on display, so I think that has something to do with it.
And no, I don't think I needed telling 😊

I know breast off of nurturing but they are also sensual and sexy to men and women

Beautifully intimate
TahoeTN8 · 46-50, M
To me it came naturally, I adore women’s boobs, and love to caress them many ways, and love to watch her enjoy it. I’ve been known to give a nipplegasm or two. 😉

I believe they are naturally attractive to males as it tells them the female would be good for feeding his children.
In modern times because they are hidden most of the time they become something men want more.

I was never taught anything about breasts, but I did start to notice them when I hit puberty and became quite fond of them
Josh1454 · M
It is naturally ingrained in the male and even the female at times. My friend is gay and though he really dislikes the vagina, he loves tits and would play with tits for hours if he could.

Humans have a natural fascination with the 'other'. She has what he doesn't and he has what she doesn't.

It is the old story of the grass being greener when it is denied. Society largely determines what is sexy by what it makes forbidden. People think of nudity as being sexually driven and depraved, but the only depraved you will usually find are the clothed gawkers on the edge. Porn failed to make it mainstream when it no longer became illegal and was available on demand.
What do you expect happens when you go around teaching people that certain parts of their anatomy are inappropriate and need to be hidden away from people???
People go after the forbidden fruit, that's what happens...

@HootyTheNightOwl.. Do you suppose, for it's taught forbidden to touch or inappropriate to keep them bared, the breasts are now considered sexual?
@Berti33 It would make sense and explain some people's attitude towards mothers breastfeeding their baby in public - even though feeding babies is the whole reason why we have breasts in the first place.

I didn't need anyone to tell teach me. I started to notice breasts when I hit puberty.
It's natural...
@zonavar68 yea, you have already done that in your opinion. Why here again?

I mean, do I even need to comment on this? Maybe I should ask to Sigmund Freud
FeetAreFantastic · 41-45, M
I think boobs being erotic is uniquely human yes. Because actually humans are the only mammals who have permanently visible breasts. All other species only grow bigger breasts during the pregnancy and nurturing period. So there's probably some evolutionary advantage of displaying them so proudly.
MichaelT · 41-45, M
Different people find different parts sensual or erotic

LOL what everyone seems to be forgetting here is that the question was
And I need to ask, "How the hell are we supposed to know what Chimps, etc. think???"
😂
Is it unique WITH HUMANS that breasts are erotic?

That's easy ... do they play with each others nipples erotically ... if yes then they are like us
We need an animal behaviorist to come in as they should know

@SW-User All animals 'condition' their young from birth on the ways of the world from their species perspective. We humans are animals too (mammals in fact) so we do it too.
pdockal · 56-60, M
Hell yes they are !
DunningKruger · 61-69, M
In most other primates, breasts only present themselves when the female is in estrous. Humans are rare in females presenting breasts all the time.
Subsumedpat · 36-40, M
We instinctively sexualize them.
Subsumedpat · 36-40, M
@zonavar68 Who is not breast fed,
zonavar68 · 56-60, M
@Subsumedpat Lots more than you think. I am of the view that unless it's due to my introverted neuro-divergent spicy personality then I wasn't breast fed as I have zero intrinsic sexual attraction because my brain is configured to block/suppress/ignore/delete any sensations or feelings of attraction. Doesn't help that my two actual relationships resulted in disastrous breakups leading me to feel I'm totally inadequate in that space and should just avoid trying to ever go there again.
Subsumedpat · 36-40, M
@zonavar68 A lot of things effect us from times we can't even remember I guess.

Since time immemorial breasts have excited men no men had to be given lessons on it was just natural instinct
