It depends on the situtation, at work or at the store, I hate it. Specially when strangers have no clue I have an accent.

I can convincingly do it when I have to, but I get bored quickly and become disinterested and tune out. I need to have deeper meaningful conversations.

Yes every conversation starts with small talk, but if the conversation stays small talk, I leave the conversation.
I'm ok with it. I'm able to easily segway to topics that will keep the conversation flowing.
Coralmist · 41-45, F
I don't love it , but don't hate it..it's just a part of socializing sometimes. I am neutral on it lol.

Both are ok with me. I prefer something deeper, but that isn't safe with just anyone.

Many times small talk helps us see what other people are about....
Imagine a stranger it/she/he approaching you while travelling and starts with:

How about having 32 hours in a day to be able to cover up the day's work as well as all other impending tasks
or
How would you ever be able to listen attentively to Jiddu Krishnamurthy Ji's slow paced yet enlightening Talks in one go & Also be able to later Walk those Talks!!!
