It happens, yes. There's even a few couples who met each other here and are now married. But it is pretty rare. Most of what happens on SW, stays on SW.

I haven't met anyone from "here" in particular but I used to be insane enough to meet people I talked to online in person all the time actually. In some of those cases I'm amazed I'm not dead 😯

I have friends I would like to meet if I ever visited close by their residence. One has to be very careful about meeting up with strangers. Always go to public place and NEVER give a stranger your private information, online or in person.

Though it's rare, I have heard of it happening. It takes time and communication.
