Your weird sandwich combos

Coleslaw topped with shredded raw carrot and sliced pickled beetroot on white crusty bread.

I am embarking on a wheat free regimen, and will have to forego bread on my sandwiches for a bit...that's weird enough...and I can't eat dairy products, either, so that makes it even weirder.

But I can see a corn tortilla, quickly fried on both sides, filled with chopped chicken salad made with Miracle whip, and a touch of Chipotle sauce, shredded lettuce, and shredded carrots...perhaps 6 Kalamata olives as well.

I recently learned to love a non-heart healthy combo from one of my Irish cookbooks: Chip & Butty sandwich. For those who don't know what this is, it is a sandwich with fresh made french fries and plenty of butter.

Shrimp salad sandwich ..

Saute 1 lb peeled/deveined and diced shrimp, thin sliced red bell pepper and red onion in 2 tbsp EVOO with Old Bay seasoning, minced garlic, fresh ground pepper, minced fresh basil, dash of lemon juice. Chill overnight.

Line sub rolls that are not fully cut through with leaf lettuce or Arugula, spoon in the shrimp salad.

Cheddar cheese and sliced sweet pickles.

Marble rye toasted in olive oil Turkey hummus tabouleh tzatziki potatoes sticks or Italian bread fried egg plant, roasted red peppers, fresh mozzarella basil, olive oil, balsamic

Not very weird but maybe to some

I thought another bagel cream cheese topped with chopped Spanish olives.

French bread sandwich roll sliced in half
Provolone
Salami, ham, and prosciutto
Italian salad dressing

Bake at 350f until cheese is melted

Romaine lettuce
Sliced Roma tomatoes

My husband tells me the fried egg sandwich with cheese and miracle whip my dad taught me to make is just wrong. But he likes tuna melts so we’re even. 😝🤣

I have a simple one but I like it,
A Pb&J with cheese thrown in .and the b always helps to keep the Pb&J off the fingers.

Vegemite
Peanut butter
Ripe tomato
salt/pepper
yum 🙂

Deli turkey, swiss cheese and strawberry jam 🤤
