First of all you're totally wrong you feeling for the media spin conservatives don't care one bit about who's gay and who's not they believe that everybody should be treated equal and there shouldn't be special caveats because you're gay black brown Asian female male everybody should be treated equal. Abortion should be left up between a woman and her doctor but it should not be used as a form of birth control. Prostitution I don't care what a woman does with her body there have been prostitutes in the world since the dawn of time but then are you wanting prostitution to where it's legal and regulated and taxed by the politicians or just a way for women to make free money without having to pay taxes that's just different question sorry to get off subject. Drugs as long as the drug does not cause problems to the point of interfering with other people's lives such as like acid or psychedelic drugs that make people go out and kill people yes those should be getting rid of so we must smoke pot go for it I don't care didn't care when those deputy sheriff either never even wrote a ticket for it it wasn't legal where we lived I just made him dump it out. so you generalize conservatives would that actually knowing what conservative stand for. If you're listening to MSNBC CBS NBC ABC CNN you're never going to find out what a conservative actually thinks. I watch MSNBC I watch CBS I watch CNN because if you watch the channels that put up a different view than what you normally would agree with then you can understand the other side and you can be sympathetic. But the first one that you mentioned I think is the most important everyone needs to be treated equal doesn't matter the color of your skin or your gender and I really don't care who you want to go to bed with at night. Everybody just needs to be treated as equals.

What's also funny is what is considered conservative today wasn't consider conservative 30 years ago. Not that either of them are right. Just that a conservative from 30 years ago would not agree with a conservative of today. They would consider what Trump did blastphamous to the extreme.

I happened to find a pysciological paper about the differences between liberals and conservatives.. it was a huge statictical research.. believe it or not (or a totally obvious) turns out conservatives had less empathy ability. and when you think about it, empathy is something you learn, it is not given. it's like when you jump and down on an ant nest just for fun when you were 4 and your mom says no don't do it.. or she doesn't say anything at all.. it is not in our genes, it is how we are wired from childhood, how we learn to look at life.. unfortunately changing is so hard after a while and almost can't understand each other anymore.. or maaaybe we can, but I don't think anybody remembers anybody from the other side in the vote cabin.. in the vote cabin we are who we are

Yup. Screaming for small government the relying on big government isn't much different than the teen who wants all the luxuries in his life doesn't want to follow curfew. Life, unfortunately, doesn't work like that.

There's an adage "everyone wants small government...until they don't." More and more I'm finding that to be true. Neither side can claim to stand for "small government" (though should note that only the right makes it part of their identity). Both the left and the right want government intrusion for different reasons; the left tends to favor more economic regulations, the right tends to think social norms and morality should be enforced through law. I may not agree with libertarians, but at least they are honest in not wanting the government to regulate [i]anything[/i] (for better or for worse).

Haaaaa ... liberals favor small government when big government rebukes them.

Regulate is much better than ban most of the time
