I wonder why do some people dislike me for no reason.

I know a lot who dislike me and took me awhile to understand that just like I dislike some, some will dislike me.

People that dislike others for no reason have a problem with themselves

I don't know about your situation, but I can relate an experience of my own.

I have a pinned post about how, 50 years after high school graduation, I connected with a girlfriend from those teen days, and how the two of us have become friends.

Well, someone tore into me about how horrible I was for breaking up with that gf in HS, and no matter what I said, she would just keep up her rant against me.

I finally realized that this SWeep must have been deceived and hurt terribly by a man when she was younger, and she was projecting all of that onto me.

So I let the matter rest. After a while, I went back to that post and deleted all the conversations involving her.

So, she was indeed mad at me "for a reason", but the reason was not exactly rational. Maybe in your case, there is a similar explanation. At any rate, I am very sorry that you have had to put up with this.

It’s them, not you.

Probably issues dating back to school when they weren’t popular and they look at you as being very successful at being liked here. It might cause resentment that you haven’t earned.

It’s unfortunately part of life..makes more sense when it’s someone we don’t like either

Yeah that's the harsh reality. Some people are just not gonna like you, without reason too. Best thing to do is ignore it to the best of your ability.

It’s the cruel reality of life, not every is going to like you. And that’s ok, it’s your life, don’t live it on the basis of pleasing everyone 🥺

People will find a thousand reasons to dislike somebody, or everybody. It's our forte

If it’s in the workplace…They probably see you as competition. You’re probably smart and good at what you do, they think you’ll steal their place or become their boss etc. Work jealousy is very common and I’ve always found it ridiculous.

Granted, the only thing I know about you is you don't sleep well but you come off pretty decent.
Some people are a bit neurotic or insecure, some internalize it, some externalise.

Regardless it's not a reflection of you, they're gonna be dead someday so it's on them to waste their time being negative.

[@mindstruggle ] that is pity in a way as you seem an amicable enough person sadly not everyone can like everyone for whatever reason. sometimes they are minor petty and spiteful and that sort of tends too describe them as a person too

People will dislike you for any reason they wish. You can’t control that. So best not to worry about it.

When someone's awful or mean to you over the internet it's usually about them, not you

I can’t imagine who wouldn’t like you. If they don’t like you it’s likely something to do with themselves and not you.
