What's a job or and occupation that you could never do?

I could never be a police officer. Definitely not in a big city like Chicago or L.A., forget it. Or a Sheriff Deputy where backup could be 15 minutes away while I'm try to handle some crazy ass psychopath.
helenS · 36-40, F
I could never be a teacher because I'm impatient, and patience is probably the most important qualification of a good teacher.
Docdon23 · M
@helenS I taught for 41 years and loved it, but you are right--one needs to be patient and understanding!
helenS · 36-40, F
@Docdon23 Wow I didn't know you were a teacher! 🌷
What subjects, please?
SubstantialKick · 36-40, M
@helenS I would quit on the first day lol.
Military work.

For starters I understand I'm not the hulk and no one's fighting to recruit me but if they were i'd say no because majority of the times the military are fighting battles that destroy more lives than save them, plus they're being exploited by a government that couldn't give two shits about them
BatmanIRL · T
@HijabaDabbaDoo our soldiers are told they’re going to fight countries that need help but in reality they aren’t doing anything wrong and were made to look bad
@BatmanIRL it's genuinely heartbreaking when you look at the endless countries before they were destroyed and destabilised. I wouldn't wish that on anyone
BatmanIRL · T
@HijabaDabbaDoo definitely not. A lot of my friends have family in other countries that were destroyed because our government lied to us
CountScrofula · 41-45, M
I *would* never be a police officer because I believe the job is morally repugnant. Even good cops get subsumed by the jobs they have to do.
SubstantialKick · 36-40, M
@CountScrofula The good ones unfortunately don't get the appreciation they deserve, thanks to the bad ones who abuse their power.
nedkelly · 61-69, M
Working in a morgue - with dead children who have been murdered
smiler2012 · 61-69
@nedkelly 🤔well yes ned that does take a sort of person who can handle that sort of thing very horrific and upsetting all the same
Sapio · 51-55, M
Ironworker or scaffolder, I don't think I could work at the heights they do.
Vin53 · M
@Sapio A thing I learned as a roofer is to feel completely comfortable on any safe ladder. No matter what the height. Up, down, once you're on, you're as safe as a babe in swaddling.
Vin53 · M
@Vin53 4 points of contact. You're safer than walking.
SubstantialKick · 36-40, M
@Sapio Even the ones who have been doing for years have to get anxious every now and then. Imagine what it's like on a windy day.
working with dead people. only good thing about them is they dont complain much and usually dont cause alot of trouble.
exexec · 61-69, C
Any kind of sales. If I think another product is better for you, I will tell you.
BatmanIRL · T
@exexec that’s perfect for sales
exexec · 61-69, C
@BatmanIRL My boss didn't think so.

I don’t think I could work in the funeral industry.
SubstantialKick · 36-40, M
@bijouxbroussard Being an undertaker has to be a depressing job.
@SubstantialKick One of my friends was born into a mortuary family and somehow she just sees it as a necessary job.
iamonfire696 · 41-45, F
