If you're the boss how do you find employees?

And what do you look for in them?

I may be looking for a few, I know a couple people I trust who may or may not work for me

It depends on what you're looking for. In my case, I look for software/hardware engineers and data scientists. They must have the proper educational background, and if they're not applying for an internship, the right experience as well.

I work with recruiters, and companies like Indeed and LinkedIn.

You should consider placing ads in the right employment market places.

It was easy for me. I had a great HR person who placed ads and made inquiries at universities. She screened applicants, so I only had to interview the best of the lot. We were usually looking for people with special skills and knowledge. Our customer often required a Ph.D., even though I felt that was unnecessary.
I am Not one but it is needless to say that all heads need smart & honest ones to work for them.
The search never ends. Not even while on ride in just any cab.
That's how one of my distant nephew got his present job.
@sspec I got offered one that's not bad standing around BSing 20 minutes ago

Craigslist used to be a good place to find employees. Angi is okay, but you've still got to be careful. What kind of employees are we talking about?

@Justafantasy Still maybe Angi, but definitely check DMV records.
