When needed, how do you lose weight?

When I broke my ankle twelve months ago my weight increased by 15kg - 33lb through inactivity.
Very easy to put on weight, not so easy to remove it. Especially as we age and joints become problematic.
I have started to attempt shedding buy replacing my usual Macca's breakfast with a fruit smoothie.
There has been the necessity to add another hole to my belt. Having shed 5kg - 11lb - over the previous month.
Not really going to exercise, just use dietary practices for now.

Stress is the only thing that makes me lose weight or should i say never gain weight

Im trying to loose weight right now after no diabetes diagnosis.
The advice given is cut down on carbs. Smaller portions of stuff like potatoes, rice, pasta and fill up with more veg and lean meats. So far ive lost 7lb in 10 days.
Ive lost weight before counting calories, but im finding cutting the carbs easier to be honest.

Good luck. X

None of these people know the real answer.

The way you lose weight is by consuming less, yes less, energy than you consume. This is scientific. An average active young male of height 180cm will spend approximately 2000 calories a day, if they eat anything below this they will lose weight until they hit an equilibrium between weight and intake.

So let's say you start counting your calories and you find that you eat 1800 calories a day, then simply cut it down with 200 calories a day then you will rapidly lose weight until you've reached the weight that this amount of calories can maintain. Just try it, you'll see. Fat, sugar, protein, they're all calories, it doesn't matter what you eat, it's the calories that determine your weight.

Calories is a measurement of energy. Fun fact, there's more energy in a chocolate bar than in the explosion of an atom bomb.
