What do you commonly say when the heat is unbearable?

I've never heard that, but it sounds very true.

I’ve frozen mine off a number of times.

I rarely complain about the heat since it is a daily issue in our summers. I do complain about the cold whenever it gets below 30 F. I'm a cold wimp.

My husband used to say "it's crackin' t' flags" it means the sun is so hot the paving stones are cracking.

I haven't heard that one around here.

I’ve heard that said on shows and such without an accent, so I don’t think it’s British. I’m staying in Southern Florida, and it is hot here, so when if they were wearing clothes, I’d say “In this heat, clothing is optional, ladies.”

I doubt it. I don’t know any Brits who say it, either.
