I'm freezing 🥶

It is 17 here right now near midnight.

The highs since Saturday have been below freezing, and will be for the rest of the week. I have my thermostat set at 77 (I always do) so am comfortable. I have an efficient apartment surrounded by others, so I soak up their heat, too.

On Sunday it looked like this:


I have not left my apartment in two days, except to shovel. I just got my car out this evening. But I went back inside. Fortunately my office was closed yesterday and is closed tomorrow, and we are teleworking. Everybody is enabled due to the pandemic!

Ok Amby, but just so you know, I had to put a space heater inside my dishwasher yesterday to thaw out the supply lines so I could do a load of dishes.

Reminds me of my wife as she was also anemic. Flannel PJ’s, extra blanket and heated mattress pad still shivering. In the meantime I walking around in underwear or nude.

28°F in Denver right now and after being on nonstop for 4 days the furnace shut off. My clock says its about 68° in here right now.

32 here and my car had a thin layer of ice over it.

You have a heating pad? If so use it.
