It's really going at it right now, here in Newark.

I like hearing wind howling. I cope with not being able to sleep, by reading a book until I can.

I sleep with a fan, white noise machine, or just put white noise or fan sounds on YouTube if you have a smart tv or phone with headphones. If you have a loud box or oscillating can, use that.

Heavy wind used to freak me out, especially when I was a kid and the electricity grid in my area was really poor and kept having blackouts. Now I watch sleep videos on YouTube of blizzards and you’re complaining cause you get it for free. The weather has been diabolical constant rain and wind and in many places snow. I like them all separately but not all together. If I can’t sleep I don’t sleep.

Those are wolves. Now try sleeping!

I sleep with a fan

Not that, that will confort you but....as one who lives in the country, it is that very thing you describe that I find insulating and comforting and the perfect catalyst for sleeping.
I can't explaing it necessarily, but there it is.

Fan
I have been staying in the city in an apartment
You need a fan to survive here

White noise. Dark room. Put a blanket over your curtains, it will help to dampen some of the sound.

As long as it’s warm under the blankets I can sleep anywhere.
Try earplugs maybe

I've been playing dead by daylight in handheld mode on my Oled to pass the time

The wind keeps you awake? How strong is it?
Wanrich5 · 36-40, M
@hippyjoe1955 well it was accompanied by light snow that didn't settle image=https://photos1.similarworlds.com/00/00/00/00/03/30/95/45/Wanrich5-CRSqmadO65Djf0b.jpg]

That's exactly the kind of white noise that most people need to sleep.

I read.
swirlie · 31-35, F
If I can't sleep, the first thing I do is get up and read a few passages from Donald J. Trump's, 'Art of the Deal' and then I start laughing SO hard that I actually pass out when I start to hyperventilate and quite often, I'll awaken late in the morning and find myself lying on my living room floor under my coffee table.
