I'd want to be able to face forward - I think the sideways motion would make me dizzy
also I hate how it's cut down on the number of people that car can hold - it's cut the fuel efficiency in half.

That would spoil half the fun of watching the other weirdos on the train.
Matt85 · 36-40, M
Yeah that's pretty cool
Never going to happen, as it doesn't maximum the seating which is the key focus in all public transportation design in recent decades.

@meggie do not like the design one bit having you back too people 😆only positive from it is you do not have too fight for the window seat lol
Musicman · 61-69, M
That would be a no for me. I get motion sickness. I need to face forward.
I’d rather have one of those window seats than the one looking right down the aisle
Teslin · M
Absolutely. No straining your neck to look out the window.
CrazyMusicLover · 31-35

Yes I would. Those would be good for traveling through scenic areas. I think Canada has some of those. Haven’t seen the ones with the seats that swivel like that though.

It doesn't look very safe? What would happen in tbe event of an accident?

Looks better for sure
That's the sight seeing lounge on all Amtrak train routes, one of my favorite cars when I travel by rail, I have taken it about 15 times, mainly the Empire Buildet route between La Crosse Wisconsin, and Portland, Oregon. It's fun taking Amtrak, you see areas of America you will never see by plane or car.

@NativePortlander1970 interesting. So it's already in use.

@LadyBronte Me too. But I did get a lot in . My glass is more than half full. But my wife doesnt do well outside her routine now. So its the quiet life for us..And to be honest, America isnt what it used to be..😷
LadyBronte · 56-60, F
@whowasthatmaskedman I'm sorry to hear that about your wife. But, truth be told about travel, I'm not sure anywhere is what it used to be anymore. 😔
whowasthatmaskedman · 70-79, M
@LadyBronte Thats true. My own country has been spared much of the longer term effects of the pandemic. But natural disasters have made travel here less than ideal..😷
