Do you drive the car you have most wanted, or only what you could afford at the time you bought it?

I used to borrow my parents' car, often, but then they helped me buy the car I liked most, at the local car showroom.
I'm not bothered to.be honest ..
I'm just glad I have a car

Fortunately, I am driving what I love and wanted

both...a 2003 toyota corolla with 230,000 miles. bought it with 3000 miles on it and saved many thousands over a brand new car with 0 mileage. has the MOST comfortable seat ive ever sat in. easy to park anywhere.

I have the car I most wanted from the list of what is affordable. It's a nice car but it's no Aston Martin!

I drive a Mazda. If I had my way I'd drive a Porsche 911. Lmao

My purchases were always largely determined by cost.

I don't own a car yet
InMyPrime · 46-50, M
@greensnacks Horses gallop. They don’t need cars :p
greensnacks · 31-35, F
@InMyPrime true. I bet the horse could use a break every once in a while too

I’d love to have a Porsche but drive a VW which I love. I am awaiting delivery of Rivian. Am cited for that

@EHLinnea EVs have software to monitor thermal runaway. Li-Ion fires are usually due to battery defects and bad chargers, both less an issue for EVs

@InMyPrime I see, but not telling the public affects confidence and ultimately sales.
InMyPrime · 46-50, M
@EHLinnea They can’t make them fast enough. I have more than a year’s wait before they deliver mine
pdockal · 56-60, M
compromised untill I retire
