Anyone know cars?

I do need to get my suspension fixed, my new car still fishtailing over bumps. New shocks put on and it helped but it came back. One mechanic did diagnose it as needed new coil springs. That they are loose. But my own mechanic said you can't tell if springs are loose on a lift, as they hang down. I checked online and it says you are able to tell if loose on a lift...he's hesitant to do the spring because it "might" not fix it.
But I think it's worth a try. Any thoughts..are you able to tell loose springs on a lift?

Look, there's two approaches to this. Fix and Feed or Buy New.

In the long run I think based on prior posts, you own a money pit. You're going to spend a couple grand trying to save money. The system is rigged to force you into a new vehicle. The deals are better, the interest is lower, and the reliability increases significantly.

Go to a dealer, buy or lease, walk out with a ride you don't have to worry about.

if i was you go to a third mechanic to see if he says something similar to the first two. it's never fun fixing something and the problem was something else. this becomes very expensive

@DeluxedEdition Well I went to two mechanic and they initially found nothing off. So these other two equals four mechanic who had checked it😕

...welp, what abouts kind of make & model would this late model be? knowing what the drive wheels are would be kinda helpful. but yeah, unlikely to be the coils if they're otherwise seated correctly and compress to gauged specs...

My dad would know in 2 seconds and would have it 110% fixed too.

Transmission issues you don’t include fishtailing. If it’s up on the left and the springs are not loose, I don’t see a problem. Maybe if it was bouncing in the back or wobbling

@Jonjdw There's quite a bit of bouncing and wobbling yes, over bumps. Mainly in back but the front bounces slightly as well.

@Coralmist something is worn or loose. But with it up in the air a good mechanic should be able to find it. Idk why it has anything todo with the transmission.

I cant believe your talking about the car to replace the one what your insurance wrote off. Are there no trading standards you could have a word with.

You seriously need to go to a good mechanic that specializes in this. These free shops are not getting it done. Have you taken it to the dealer yet? That would be a good place to start.
