When you go on vacation, do you like to have a schedule or do things spontaneously ??

Schedule!! I research the area well and then make a table of all the attractions and places we want to visit. It's good to have all the info I need to hand, including address, sat nav code, entrance prices and opening times. When the kids were small I also found pubs with kids play areas close by so we could stop and have a meal or drink if we wanted to.

If there’s a restaurant that’s hard to get into, I might plan a month in advance to be sure we get a table.

Barring something like that, all I care about is making sure everyone has fun and feels spoiled. We’ll usually plan the day the night before or the morning at breakfast.

I’m spontaneous about everything but the beach. If it’s a seven day vacation, the beach has to be a part of at least four days. That’s where I’m the happiest.

I plan everything from A to Z, where to go, what to see and what areas to avoid.

As a single woman that likes to travel alone, it is no easy task to make sure that you are safe in a foreign country and it is very easy to get into unwanted situations, depending on where you go.

I am the museum, arts and architecture kind of person and therefore, I do plan my schedule carefully. I am not that much a beach person because I need to see things and not just to grill on a beach.

A list of options, doing my research about the place and what can be done there in advance and then leave it to my mood and the weather. I wouldn't book anything in advance unless I'd want to go to some specific museum or gallery and booking in advance would be much cheaper and ensure a priority entrance.
Well, that's what I'd do if I went to any anyway.

A combination....it's good to plan/schedule a few specific things you want to see/experience, but sometimes it's fun to have spontaneity on your vacation.

It depends, I had to have a plan when we went to Florida because it was all about the parks, my next trip will be Scotland and we’re being spontaneous.

My last trip to Thailand was planed, out of necessity. 12hr time zone difference will do that 🤣

But usually, its just getting the framework in place. Stay & flights.

Only if I am doing the planning.

I have a few main things booked but I don’t schedule every day I like to be spontaneous.

Vacation for me is outdoor wilderness stuff, the only thing scheduled is LEAVING ON TIME!!!!!
I'm always willing to go cross country to see if some little pond has fish, or if that really is a cave...

I’ve done it both ways but I have to go with planned, otherwise I lose a lot of time that I could be doing something fun.

I like to have some what of a plan but I'm flexible and willing to do spontaneous things too

Spontaneously. Rules and routines are for my everyday life. Vacation for me is carefree in every way.
