I was watching the news today. 📰 And I have learned that the price of eggs right now in the US is from 6-8 dollars per dozen. Are you serious ?🙄 I mean I do like eggs, but not that damn much! I can live without them. 😂 Gee whiz. What do you think about this my fellow SW peeps. Best answer will win. . Got any eggs in your fridge . Scramble mines ok. 🤭 🍳
@Zonuss yes, but the way i see it we were just getting them super cheap before. i mean compared to a dollar each for one vegetarian sausage patty its still a good value in my book. anyway, its because of the bird flu. they should go back down eventually.
I tend to go in phases and right now am not eating as many. I use them in other things though and noticed all of a sudden they got a bit difficult to find here. I’m getting used to understanding availability is no longer the given it used to be.
I do eat eggs, every other day. Omelette usually or as egg and cheese on English muffin. Here they are 4.50 a dozen, roughly. But to go UP??? Yikessss. Is it because there is a bird flu?
My local supermarkets are showing prices as: 1. White Large Eggs, 12 Each $5.49 2. Cage Free Brown Large Eggs, 12 Each $4.29 3. Large Grade A Eggs, 12 each $5.79 4. Free Range Large Brown Eggs, 12 each $5.39 5. Large White Eggs $5.09 per dozen.
The descriptions are just as listed on the stores' websites.
We eat them. Haven't had to buy them in years though. Gave ours hens away last summer because they quit laying; but, get eggs from friends right now. They are actually incubating some for us and we should have more next month. 🙂 LOVE me some fresh eggs!!!
I went to Costco in the city yesterday and I’m single but I have two daughters that come visit me all the time and I didn’t buy a lot of groceries I thought walked out of there it was 1280 some odd dollars later nuts
