He should be impeached to ensure he can't run for public office again. After what happened this week, I believe the majority of the Republican politicians don't want him to run again in 2024 and an impeachment would be the way to stop him. Pence would be behind that because it clears the field for him to run.

I made a point of reading the whole -long and rambling-speech he gave to the mob....it was an utterly deluded speech in which he did tell them to march on Capitol Hill after convincing them Mike Pence could reject and overturn the election results.
But I don’t think he incited them to violence-( not in words anyway)although these sort of mobs always seem to have people who are there purely for that.
I also watched the short video he has subsequently released in which it is clear someone has managed to get to him or he is trying to save his own skin.Most unTrumplike!
Not being American I have no idea how quickly he could be removed from office but since he’s only there for a couple more weeks I suspect it can’t happen in time.
But it must have come as a shock to the mob to discover he doesn’t have their back.
