I think Trump should be impeached and removed to set a precedent

I made a point of reading the whole -long and rambling-speech he gave to the mob....it was an utterly deluded speech in which he did tell them to march on Capitol Hill after convincing them Mike Pence could reject and overturn the election results.
But I don’t think he incited them to violence-( not in words anyway)although these sort of mobs always seem to have people who are there purely for that.
I also watched the short video he has subsequently released in which it is clear someone has managed to get to him or he is trying to save his own skin.Most unTrumplike!
Not being American I have no idea how quickly he could be removed from office but since he’s only there for a couple more weeks I suspect it can’t happen in time.
But it must have come as a shock to the mob to discover he doesn’t have their back.

and the more extreme of his supporters are already turning on him.

of course he incited the mob to act violently. you don't have to shout BURN THE HOUSE DOWN to say burn the house down.

a good cover for later, when they are asked why they did nothing.

@ozgirl512 the process is not straightforward. if POTUS writes to object and the VP and cabinet persist, the matter goes to Congress.
