What's your craziest customer service story?

SW-User
I was running a business and i went out to deliver something to this customer because we were short and the other delivery guy was quite a hot young dude...anyway the woman answered the door in a see thru negligee cut halfway down her tits and up to her crotch. She was horrified when she saw me. She didn’t give us a tip either

I was working on a wedding 💒 the Bride was drinking a lot 🍷 ended up steaming drunk on the morning before leaving to get married, there was only me and her in the room towards the end, she fell of the sofa armchair trying to get her stockings on.
She kept grabbing me and telling me she loved me 😬🤦🏼‍♀️ (Awkward haha)
she was that drunk she couldn’t get herself dressed, begged me to help her, her friends had left and got ready in another room oblivious to the state she was in, I ended up putting her in her dress and Underwear, stockings etc. Probably the craziest work day for me lol 😆

Christmas 2006. Insanely crowded shop, impatient customers, and only two employees (me and my manager).

Manager is getting visably more stressed as the night goes on. We are both running back and forth, trying to serve customers who are becoming more and more angry that we cant keep up with demand.

Manager disappears to back room and doesn't come back. I go to check on her, find her literally on the floor in a fetal position, crying. Nervous breakdown I guess?

I ask if she wants me to call someone, but instead of answering, she gets up, grabs her coat, and runs out, leaving me to finish the night with all these shitty customers.

Great. So I do my best, literally running between customers, trying to stay nice even though they're ALL being Karens. Now people are getting so impatient they're coming behind the counter, trying to serve themselves. Nope. Not today.

Some lady snaps at me, literally snaps her fingers like I'm a dog. That's it.

"EVERYBODY OUT!!!" I yell. And I mean it. I grab the announcement mic and keep telling everyone the store is closed and they need to leave immediately. I ran everyone off, locked the doors, closed the registers, finished the paperwork for the night, and left the store 5 whole hours early.

No fucks given. 💃🏻💃🏻💃🏻

I worked in retail, on this particular shift I was asked to cover the changing rooms. I let a customer in with clothes, she had too many so we had to put some aside. Anyways I was called to work on the tills as I was the only one able to do returns.
Upon doing so I told my. Colleague the items were for number...
She was acting really weird, looking at me awkwardly after quite some time. She disappeared. And She then called for a manager which is incredibly weird.
They drew the cords to close off the fitting rooms.

I was due to go on a break when I was pulled aside to describe the customer with all the clothes.

It seems this person slipped out in a hurry so much so my colleague and I hadn't noticed them leave.
Anyways this person defecated in the changing room all on the bench on the floor and had appeared to use the curtain as toilet tissue.

I've never felt so sick in all my life.

@Peppa 🤢 that happened to us once 🤢
Peppa · 31-35, F
@SW-User it's a really shocking thing to witness. I'll probably never forget that day for as long as I live.
This was the beginning of me realising that the world is full of very unusual people.
@Peppa ew wtf🤢 that's vile.
At 9pm i ordered food from a restaurant. 2 hours later i asked him when would you deliver my food and he told me sorry sir we only deliver food the next day. You place oder for food ONE DAY in advance!

I worked in the 80s for a company that supplied bank dealing room systems, principally foreign exchange ones.

I was put on the "helpline" virtually straight away. It was considered a good way to learn about the system and meet everyone around the firm.

Many times though I just closed the call in the call log with "Told to RTFM".

One day the director asked for all calls from Lehmann Brothers. I produced the spreadsheet. " What's RTFM?" he asks me "Read The Fucking Manual" I reply. "Shit I've just sent it to them".

We weren't allowed to use that anymore 😂😂😂😂

Well... maybe not really custom service...

But once I caused the complete evacuation of the JetBlue terminal at JFK airport in NY....
User41 · 36-40, M
Back then I was working maintenance for the busiest JetBlue terminal in NY.

One day they asked me to check all the smoke detectors. So I’d call the main office on the radio and read off the serial number to the individual smoke detector.

They’d turn it off from the central alarm system. I’d spray it with artificial smoke to see if the light on the detector turns from green to red. Indicating it works without setting off the fire alarms in the terminal.

So I’m doing this all day for like three days an then I smoke out one that is technically not apart of JetBlue but apart of port authority.

I sprayed it and all hell broke loose.

Alarms, strobe lights, went off, even the fire doors started lowering. An New Yorkers being New Yorkers would run, throw their luggage under the fire doors as they rolled down out of the ceiling then slid under them like they were on a space ship that was about to go down.

I was literally the only one there that understood there was no fire. So I just sat back an enjoyed the shit show.

2 months later I joined the navy an during my security clearance interview they were like “sooo... I see you had an insteresting ordeal with an airport?”

Me: 🤷🏻‍♂️

A shoplifter was trying to run down the escalator so I pushed the emergency stop button 😌
Peppa · 31-35, F
@SW-User hahaha that definitely would have stopped them in their tracks.
