It was like here but in its last years groups and posts just kept disappearing as the legendary EPAllie wiped things. Two kewl things about were you could you could make new groups adding images (some of which made it here) and you could as some have put it "stay in your own lane" if you came to discuss stuff that wouldn't fly elsewhere as you could have notifications just for your own groups showing if say a new post or response was made.
You didn't need to look at everything else OR have to manually check each group.

Originally, EP was setup as a social media site for people with shared experiences to support each other. From the Wiki page on EP:
"The nodes of the network were "life experiences", such as starting a new job, battling depression or surviving a divorce. Members who had listed experiences in common were automatically connected. Reversing the "f.r.i.e.n.d.s." concept of traditional social networks, in which connections are made between known individuals who then may or may not share experiences, on the Experience Project, connections were made based on shared experiences. The site emphasized anonymity to promote more authentic conversations that would otherwise be quelled by fear of recognition or embarrassment."
@JoeyFoxx 🤷‍♀️
@sarabee1995 a murder happened that no one really knows many of the details about utilizing the site, it had nothing to do with the perverts.

Honestly, I wouldn't be so defensive of them because the breed we have on this site largely is pretty gross in terms of which fetishes seem to run the gamit on the site, too many scat fans.

I have relatively vanilla taste.... 'I'm not against the crowd spreading that on here.
Yulianna · 22-25, F
@sarabee1995 do you mean me?😄

It was here before here. Original here. Bigger, better here.

Slightly more perv infested.
SW-User
@Ksmile14 Way way more users. The interface was better. This is like the tiny beta version. EP light light.
Ksmile14 · F
@SW-User Makes me wish I coulda experienced that project. 😕
QuietEd2019 · 31-35, M
@Ksmile14 more users in general I guess
This site is not a support site, it's essentially a social network, at least EP was mostly people who were there to comfort each other, This one is rude by comparison and yes there were trolls on EP but christ....

it was easier to ignore them too...
@Ksmile14 i basically don't have local friends so there's that.... and it's partially my fault I could have tried to meet up...
used meetup.com or something...

but yeah...

even as a fucking NEET just about to finally be in education I am a better pick than some of those boys.... at least my exes aren't an unbroken chain of broken hearts...
@Ksmile14 I got a letter after I broke up with annie where she basically told me after what happened to her she was glad we had spent that time together because it was where she learned that not all men cannot control themselves and to trust us to respect boundaries again... I don't break people...
Ksmile14 · F
@BetweenKittensandRiots That is something positive. ☺️
EP a cesspool of perversion. So much fun
@Ksmile14 you don't know, you weren't there (wo)man.
Ksmile14 · F
@SevenTierCrazyCake no I wasn't but now I wish I was.
@Ksmile14 😁
SW-User
It was basically this site... but there was an app.

Groups were used more too. People could hide in groups and their posts wouldn't hit the main thread.
Ksmile14 · F
@SW-User so you could hide in the groups and talk to people who were in the same group without talking to just everybody else?
SW-User
@Ksmile14 I think that's how it worked. I really wasn't a group person but I know the fetishes kind of stayed in their own area.
Ksmile14 · F
@SW-User That'd be kinda nice.
FreestyleArt · 31-35, M
It was like a fairytale full of professional trolls and tigers and bears oh My!!!! There was so much Drama. Kittychannel even spiked up the drama it was awesome. Then you have kikzkiz or some religious troll. I think she's doing better now but damn. She was feisty. And then there was Gem going off on the Confession section. That was something else
Ksmile14 · F
@FreestyleArt So lots of fun people?

As a platform SW is way better, in terms of users, EP was way better. To me at least, cuz I miss lots of people who never moved to SW.
Ksmile14 · F
@BetweenKittensandRiots Tons of trolls here!!!!
@Ksmile14 yeah and our Admins basically handed them the keys.
Ksmile14 · F
QuietEd2019 · 31-35, M
<3 so EP or Experience Project was a site rather like this one that had similar experience groups but seemingly a stronger community feel you could post in topics and feel supported more than you might be here. some people hold a lot of nostalgia for it. Although this site did its best to clone what EP was I think for some it is not the same. EP struggled with data provision requirements and the desire to keep users personal data safe. regulations in the end forced the Experience Project to close down
QuietEd2019 · 31-35, M
@Crazychick no murder happened that I know anything about
Crazychick · 36-40, F
@QuietEd2019 Well, I heard it did.
QuietEd2019 · 31-35, M
@Crazychick not everything ends in a murder inquiry
Similar to this but I formed more real friendships. There were trolls on EP but not as many. I think theres also more people on SW with multiple accounts. I dont know if its just me but EP was the first site of its kind that I knew. I still like SW. But when EP closed some people never joined this site.
Ksmile14 · F
@Cutiepi23 Sounds like a better version of SW
@Ksmile14 yeah it was 😊
I liked EP... a lot more...it seemed less prohibitive. I wrote some stories for friends. We exchanged emails but... you know how that goes. You were able to archive everything in the end. I can't remember whether I did, though, EP was a very similar site. The guy that originated it, became a millionaire. He suddenly pulled the plug with about a month's notice. Goggle or search... "the experience project"> Hope that this helps you.😊
Ksmile14 · F
@theexciting1 Thanks for answering
purplepen · 51-55, F
Nicer. More pervs but also more decent people, and easier to tell the difference.
ozgirl512 · 26-30, F
The mother of SW ...
ozgirl512 · 26-30, F
@Sharky86 mother one day, father the next!
Depends on who's turn it was in the barrel 🤣
Ksmile14 · F
@ozgirl512 😲
Sharky86 · 36-40, M
Yulianna · 22-25, F
for me, big difference was ep had many more people writing longer pieces, stories, sandals reading... but you know that is important interest for me
Ksmile14 · F
@Yulianna lol Well keep it under control girl.
Yulianna · 22-25, F
@Ksmile14 it is fun to let go from time to time...
Ksmile14 · F
@Yulianna well...yeah. 😌
bearinthehalfwayhouse · 26-30, M
Instead of sounding redundant, I'll add something else... It was sw but with more people............... Both good and bad........ And an anonymous board area where you could post stuff you didn't want people to know...... God, I miss that... I LOVED trolling the fugg out of it... Still, was nice to get some things off your chest.. Moving on... ┬┴┬┴┤¬ᴥ¬ʔ
bearinthehalfwayhouse · 26-30, M
@Ksmile14 DAWG YOU DON'T EVEN!!.......... Still, technically we do have that here..... It's called MAKE ANOTHER ACCOUNT!!... Pssht..... IMPLEMENT IT ALREADY, SW!!
Ksmile14 · F
bearinthehalfwayhouse · 26-30, M
@Ksmile14 Ey, cat.. You know how it be, dawg. ┬┴┬┴┤•ᴥ •ʔ/🍕
It was original similarworlds, had a friend who was a couple years older from canada, live in scotland transition, her name is or was chantelle, she died in early-2015. Only ts woman who gave me great advice about friends, transitioning and essence of womanhood. Never saw her but, i deeply missed her in real society, genuinely sad.

Was some engineer in sandhurst military barracks in uk military
Ksmile14 · F
@Dogemilataka Im sorry but I'm glad you had a god friend.
@Ksmile14 she was the closest trans idol i think of, never saw her, so can't put a face to her name, but i never forgot her as a fellow ts woman and like an older sister, in many respects
Northerner · 70-79, M
It was the forerunner of SW . It was something completely different back in 2008
Ksmile14 · F
@Northerner Different how?
Northerner · 70-79, M
It was a new concept back in those days. It gave some sort of freedom to us to discuss whatever we wanted to.
SW-User
ep was.. sw with less absurd posts and apparently more pervs
Ksmile14 · F
@SW-User keep getting the more pervs answer. didn't think it was possible! 😜
Rambler · M
Something like SW but larger with a very wide variety of people. I enjoyed it for several years, made some good friends there, a few of which I still have. Some EP people came here when it closed but not all.
Ksmile14 · F
@Rambler So do the same people run this place?
Rambler · M
@Ksmile14 I think they are different people but I don't pay much thought to who runs these things
monkeysdevil007 · 46-50, M
It was a place sprinkled with fairy dust and carpeted with land mines and I still miss it and some of the friends who didn't embrace SW as much
monkeysdevil007 · 46-50, M
@Crazychick Sad and accurate . It definitely lacks the magic of EP
Crazychick · 36-40, F
@monkeysdevil007 I wasn't on EP so I don't know. Did they falsely accuse innocent members of violations they didn't commit?
monkeysdevil007 · 46-50, M
@Crazychick I think they had the same problems as any social media site and the reasons it shut down are cloaked in mystery but the two most common themes are that it was to do with two members meeting up and one of them ending up dead and the other that the government wanted full access to the members info on request ( maybe linked to the first issue )
SW feels like the little sister clinging on in the hope of maturing into it's big sister once it has grown breasts and sprouted pubic hair
SW-User
Its over... Move along...
Ksmile14 · F
@SW-User OOOOOokay
plus on EP you could hide in groups so only people who were interested in what you were writing about tended to find your content instead of notifying the whole fucking site.
Rambler · M
@BetweenKittensandRiots Exactly, the groups had much more meaning there than they do here.
@Rambler

"it takes acquired minds..."

jesus... I don't want the world to read the things I write about.
CrustyDDingus · 36-40, M
I missed out, I guess. Even though I made an EP account back in 2015 I didn't really use it. I didn't like the format, especially compared to Spring.me
Ksmile14 · F
@CrustyDDingus Is the SW format better?
CrustyDDingus · 36-40, M
@Ksmile14 To EP, yes. It's similar to Spring.me's, albeit you could see images and gifs without having to click on someone's post on the public feeds. That caused havoc with bandwith 😂
SW-User
Similar Worlds might be even better than Experience Project, except Experience Project had more members. I do wish that Experience Project had been kept online.
JoeyFoxx · 51-55, M
Pretty much the same as SW. less about questions and more about sharing experiences.

It was called the Experience Project.
Similar to SW however the original was better in terms of really connecting with people.
Ksmile14 · F
@Cutiepi23 Thats what everyone says. Wish I could've experienced it.
Crazychick · 36-40, F
It was a forerunner of this site, it closed about 3 or 4 years ago.
ron122 · 41-45, M
EP was a crazy place. I met some really good people there though
Sharky86 · 36-40, M
The previous version of SW, almost.
Ksmile14 · F
@Sharky86 Almost but not quite? Which one is better?
Sharky86 · 36-40, M
@Ksmile14 Idk I joined SW at its beginning and I wasn't on EP. Some think this one is better, some the opposite.
Experience Project (EP) was the site that predated this one; it was around from 2006 or 2007 until it closed in 2016. SW was established by some former EP members. Many people wax nostalgic about the days of EP.
Ksmile14 · F
@bijouxbroussard That's just scary!
AmmieBell · 18-21, F
@Ksmile14 it would be a good explanation for them suddenly changing their name and site though
Ksmile14 · F
@AmmieBell Yeah it would
HeyRouben · 41-45, M
The best experience ever!
