@Nimbus My mother did - 35 years ago this past May. It hurts every time I see someone say that. She was burping the night before and couldn't sleep. The last thing I said to her was, "Good night. I'll see you in the morning - and I love you."

She was gone in a little over two hours later. The doctor said it was a silent heart attack caused by her diabetes.

I don't want to die for a good long time - and certainly not in bed. I am alone and no one would find me.

He insisted on driving, but had a heart condition...so he did, indeed, pass out while driving. He was driving on the verge and we had to shake him. He STILL wouldn't let any of us drive...😂

@MaryJanine I’m sure it was and again I’m sorry. I’ve watched my father suffer from cancer and the pain he went through before he died... I’d prefer to go in my sleep.

@SW-User If you want to go that way, you better have your affairs in order first. My mother died in bed. She woke up my father with a "gasp" which meant she stopped breathing instantly. 19 years later, my father joined her. His passing was neither direct nor expected. He died in the act of being wheeled to X-Ray to discover why he was passing blood - as he was doing the night before at home. I am sure THAT was painful.

The people you leave behind will feel pain -in their hearts. I did and suppose I always will.
