Does you heart ache because your spouse is oblivious that you're even there? Or are you more like, "Who cares, whatever".

My sons Mom was like a roommate for years after our son was born
and she is the one who begged me to lets have him ,my youngest daughter was 25 at the time .
I never wanted to have another child or a broken home and visitation
I did meet someone else and she understood the arrangement ,
But I have a disease eating my spine so I take narcotics for pain
my sons Mom was an addict ,so she stole my pain meds leaving me to suffer many days of the month ,
So when she could no longer stand to see me suffer like that she said enough was enough ,either I put my foot down and make her leave ,and take her to court and make sure I got my son ,or she was leaving me
I let her go
Now 8 yrs later ,she is in that boat ,but her man's drug of choice is Playstation ,now she is unhappy and tired of it
And she wants me back
Now I am the one with my head spinning ..I love her ,I have prayed all this time she would come home
Now she wants to ,and I don't know if I can trust her
If she could leave me knowing how much I loved her and it would kill me
and now she wants to date me ,make plans to leave this guy
Who is to say if my health gets worse ,which I know it will
How do I know she won't destroy me again ?
I don't want to spend another 8 yrs ,and still not be over her
On my side ,nothing is in my way ,,my Kids say I have their full support
They just pray they never have to see me ever hurt like that again
and I am not even the same man she left ,she destroyed him
But I think any woman would be happy with this model ,,except the bad back
She was extremely happy with me and wanted to get married
I was just worried about what my son might go though ,but she has been good to him and we share him
So as far as a person ,my girl would get a much better man then the one she loved ,what might I end up with ,,maybe even pay for the sins or the guy she is with ,he has not been good to her
I hate feeling like this ,,normally I am always in control of my thoughts
Not lately ,,she is

My spouse is not oblivious. Sometimes I feel like he doesn’t see me but he’s not a terrible husband.

It aches because I let her get away
I was almost over her ,but she wanted to talk
Now she wants to come back
Now my heart aches because I am torn
I want her back ,I still love her
But she did almost kill me

I know the roommate thing too
Not a good place to be
It can cost you someone that wants you

If that's how my spouse felt about me I would very quickly not be there

I am like; I got rid of that heart ache who cares spouse 12 years ago. I am Happy free and available for the right woman; not the wrong and oblivious one ever again.

I’m the preoccupied one. So I guess I’m the one who sucks. I do make a point to try to stay engaged but life is so busy

At this moment in our lives, we are in perfect sync 👍💞😎

Actually ?? ... both ... there are times my heart does ache, cause it’s like ‘hey dumbass, we’re at the point in our life we could make this something special, get a grip lady’ ... and then there’s the ‘okay fine, I’ll do me and you can just figure things out all on your own’ ...
