For or against the death penalty?

I'm not against the death penalty in principle. Some people by their actions really have forfeited their right to walk among other human beings. But in the U.S. it's [b]not[/b] equitably meted out. As long as death is the penalty primarily imposed against poor people or people of color, I can't support it.

Against. I'm not really a fan for the eye for an eye concept and I generally don't believe a government to should have the power to execute citizens considering there have been circumstances where people executed have been wrongfully convicted

in telling you, its way more cruel to lock them in a box forever.

For it. It should be used much more often and not take so long to execute the fuckers.

I am in favour of it IF there is irrefutable evidence the person is guilty. I do not want to chance an innocent person being executed. DNA under the fingernails. Video recording of the murder. that sort of thing. We can always give them life without parole.

I support it fully, however, in my country I wouldn't agree to have it. The justice system is so corrupted in here, so they would just kill everyone.

The more ineptitude I see in our legal systems the less I am in favour of capital punishment. Those clowns couldn't run an orgy in a whorehouse.

Generally against it but I would say in certain circumstances it should be allowed.

Undecided. However if someone hurt my children I'd relish watching the perp fry.

I am opposed in all circumstances. Life without parole is sufficient (and permanent) punishment. I don't think a civilized society should kill its citizens for punishment or retribution. Also, as Bijoux points out, the system has proven very unfair and imperfect in practice.

For. And the amount of money it takes to imprison them for life is ridiculous

some people do deserve to die but that does not mean any government deserves that kind of power over their own people, only killing in self defense is appropriate outside of war.
