I'm not against the death penalty in principle. Some people by their actions really have forfeited their right to walk among other human beings. But in the U.S. it's not equitably meted out. As long as death is the penalty primarily imposed against poor people or people of color, I can't support it.

@bijouxbroussard This is true, far too many people of color have been executed because of race, interestingly, most of the types of crimes such as serial killers are mostly committed by whites.

@bijouxbroussard That is well said and very true. Class and race are huge determining factors. And there have been many exonerations of people falsely convicted, often due to incompetent investigations or unfair trials.
