Walking home from school, and a trailer truck full of cookies rolls over, scattering cookies all over the street….

The Gypsy in me wants to do a circle of Lake Erie entering Canada around the Falls over to Windsor/Detroit and back.
A fall trip to New England, winter along the Gulf from Texas to Florida then spring in the Smokies.
Of course always to change without notice.

@SageWanderer I need to have ours serviced. Get it set for the year. For some reason I have been seriously slacking this year.
SageWanderer · 70-79, M
@Musicman Too many other things going on. It will all fall into place.
@SageWanderer I understand. We couldn't go this year either. ☹️
Umile · 41-45, F
The bridge in Oregon. Cobblestones in Greece. Cherry blossom in Japan. Countryside in Italy. Irish/scottish mountains.
@Umile Sorry for the late reply, I fell back to sleep. Enchanted Forest was a Awesome place to go to, we went every opening day every summer when I was a kid in the 70's.
Umile · 41-45, F
@NativePortlander1970 nmh. Must've been great.
@Umile It was so fun back then :)

You need to do this.. NM is beautiful
I’d like to go back to the Pecos wilderness in NM and camp for awhile. Maybe alone, maybe with a new friend.

@shinyplasticlove I completely understand that. Really windy days are scary with those big sides.

shinyplasticlove · 51-55, M
I rented a 36' diesel pusher and went on a 4 corners vacation. I visited so many places.
@shinyplasticlove What year was this? Would you consider buying one?
shinyplasticlove · 51-55, M
@Musicman This was way back in 2000. I wouldn't buy an rv, too expensive.
@shinyplasticlove I can understand that. ☹️

Travel by train from the east to west coast
rosyhills · 31-35, F
@Pinkstarburst I'd like a train trip too. Maybe not that far but definitely the scenic route
@Pinkstarburst That would be so cool! 🙂🙂🙂🙂

I once wanted to visit Yosemite. I had reserved the trip. Then the pandemic hit, so I had to cancel.
After the pandemic, I got sick. I almost died, I could not walk, and am still feeble. I have not travelled anywhere since 2019. I still do not feel up to it.

@Musicman
I still can drive, so I take day trips. I still take time off, I just stay home, plus day trips.
What worries me is having the stamina for flights, getting around the airport, and of course walking around Yosemite!
But maybe I could ride in one of those airport carts, LOL! And the ADA says people like me should be accommodated! Although I don't think the Yosemite mountains and weather care about the ADA, LOL! But I think the valley floor is flat. And if I can drive someplace, I will!

@JoyfulSilence I am so sorry to hear about your condition. I have a question. Have you ever considered a campervan or small drivable RV? Would you be able to drive one of those? It would definitely give you a place to stay. During a drive if you needed to you could pull into a rest area and take a nap. Would something like this be if any interest or help to you?
JoyfulSilence · 46-50, M
@Musicman
No. I would not want to drive a large vehicle, and I like to stay in nice hotels with at least a queen bed, good AC, nice bath, pool, hot tub, hot breakfast included. That is not an issue since I can drive anywhere for hours, no problem, and hotels are easy to navigate.
I did not even like to fly when I was healthier. Too cramped and I am stuck in it for hours!

I'd love to revisit your Country- do a motorhome tour of North Carolina... and then Florida- and you bet I'll arrive into Key West via the Seven Mile Bridge!
@Musicman What a prime location, that will be a beautiful memory!
@BritishFailedAesthetic Yes it was. 🙂🙂🙂
@Musicman That cool sunset air, the afternoon few minute rainfall.... I can feel the peace.......

Machu Picchu before it was a tourist trap and when I was still limber enough to get there and enjoy it.
PerfectionOfTheHeart · 46-50, F
What a site that would be to see.
There’s so much I want to see and experience before my last breath, but I think the biggest adventure I’d love isn’t really a specific place. I’d just love to go somewhere abroad and fall in love with the life there so much that I never return to my former home. A legitimate new chapter where the blank slate, along with the scenery and clean air taken in every single day begins to heal the wounds within.

Id love to get some camera time at that. I think I'd really like to get a mini towable trailer for my adventure times. I think one of the over lands.
I was reading a book about owls and id like to do a long term run through Europe to get pics of various birds, start up in Scotland and work down to Serbia

@Musicman something at least similar to that. I'm pipe dreaming, as I entered a charity drawing for one kinda like that plus a truck to tow it. I really like the awnings that will go 270 degrees around the trailer. with that, a couple chairs and a cool, bug free place to sleep, I feel like I could go for a long while.

I would love to just take the semi and just park it in my driveway and just stay home for a change.
@IndianaJoes I can definitely understand that. 🙂 How often do you get to do that?
IndianaJoes · M
@Musicman I am home every day and I don't do weekends either but, it's usually a 14 - 16 hr day. This is much better than many truck drivers have it. But I've noticed that finding a new driving job is as easy as just going to any other company and starting again the very next day. (Sometimes the same day). All trucking companies are that desperate. I have literally multi-millions of miles of experience, So.... they know that if they want to keep me and profit well then, they play by my rules. Hate to play hardball like that but that's how trucking is if you don't want them to walk all over you. I know all about being used and abused. Lol

I would like to have a sexual adventures like I had when I early 20s one more time. But I can't, my body can't move that way no more. I'm all kinds of fucked up now.

@Musicman I personally think it should be based on condition and not age of ang RV. There is a guy that's a neighbor of my older stepsister that has a Minnie Winnie from the early 80's that looks and runs practically brand new, while I have seen some not even ten years old on the RV Trader site that's ready for the compactor.
@NativePortlander1970 I completely agree with you. Ours is a 2006 and looks almost new. People can't believe it when I tell them how old it is.
@Musicman Back then vehicles were built like tanks, they lasted, now they break down just by sitting there.
