What city do you think has the best skyline?

Gusman · 61-69, M
It has to be Queenstown Tasmania. 😄
Mt Owen standing guard. Queenstown is in a hollow below this mountain.
New York, aesthetically and for sentimental reasons.

Seattle and Toronto with their sky needles Britain with the iconic clock Tower and Ferris wheel now. But then again you can't leave out Egypt with the pyramids. Memphis has a nice one even though it's a pyramid is glass and steel. But then you also have St Louis with the arch we have San Francisco with the bridge and Alcatraz Island. You have New Orleans but that's more of a local one when you just get the cathedral in Mardi gras area. I also like the skyline of Dallas as you're headed into Dallas. Kind of like when I was a kid you'd watch the movie Dallas. Rome has a beautiful skyline. I do love the Russian skyline with all the old Byzantine buildings. Rio de Janeiro with supreme Christ in Brazil....

Please describe what you think "best" is?

I found the skyline 20 miles from Cheyenne Wyoming gorgeous. It has no skyscrapers. Yet the stars where everywhere. In all directions.

I don't see the Milky Way Galaxy in either image. Nor would it be possible to see it, with that much light.

@DeWayfarer I'll take Manhattan...but you make a good point, to which I'll add my vote for Devil's Tower National Monument, Wyoming. (It's a city, if you include space aliens ☺)

@katydidnt ET go home! 🙃

Actually never got that far North.

Yet I did see the movie when it first opened in 1977. Just before I moved to Cheyenne.

As a thumbs up for the remembrance here's the full movie. Yes you can download it from there...

I love the skyline of Toronto when you are on Toronto Islands. You are literally in a cottage community with hardly any lights, a fire department, stationed all the time for the airport on the island, where on a summer night if you walk past that fire department they are just strumming on guitars and then you look across the lake only incredibly lit with towering buildings, to realise how close you are to urbanity while being in a perfect oasis.

But the actual skyline, depends on where it's viewed. From a plane, no, but from that island, yes.

Could be New York, maybe Hollywood and Vine,
London, Paris, maybe Tokyo…

Chicago for me because it's sentimental & will forever be in my heart.

I miss Toronto

If I could find the video Pittsburgh PA coming into the city through the Fort Pitt tunnel. The city bursts open before your eyes as you exit the tunnel!
Even though I’m from New York, I’d still vote Hong Kong. Truly spectacular.
Shanghai
Chicago
Seattle
Toronto
Singapore
Manhattan

My hometown. None of the buildings are taller than the trees.
