Definitely do not want to go to work today

First off, thank you for wearing a mask. I know it is not fun, but it does help a lot of people feel safe and comfortable.

Second, I'm right there with you. I've been at work for about 3 hours now and have done *maybe* 1 hour of work because I've got ADHD brain today.

@ostfuidctyvm Maybe you should just be polite, but not cheery or talkative. I wouldn't force that on myself either. If people say you changed your personality, let them know the truth respectfully.

At this point in my career, I care less and less about decorum. I tell it like it is, and that sometimes ruffles a few feathers. I sit in some meetings with reserved, polished, political people. I am just an absent minded professor. I am open about my troubles and weaknesses. It is such a a strange dynamic.

I hope to never become like these people. But I know shit, so they need me more than I need them. I help out a lot. I fix technical problems related to math or computer programs (yet I am clueless about hardware or operating systems -- call IT folks, not me!).

I took today off, though!

I retire in 6 years. They have that long to train my replacement!

Be nice ,but at the same time pull faces at the phone and give it the 2 finger salutes ,answer calls through clenched teeth or answer like a poor ventriloquist, gottle of geer or develop a cockney accent or talk like a British Royal or a Scottish bag lady , see me see you type dialogue. 😀
