Dont want to be young again may not live through it!
I don't wish to be older or younger. I basically stopped aging at the age of 18... presumably during the crisis where the trauma I was going through that year got too much for me to carry anymore.
For the longest time, I got lost in Depersonalisation/Derealisation disorder - and, when I came back, life had gone on around me. People aged... I did not.
I'd rather have dissociation than that... at least my alters usually share enough for the system as a whole to function on a daily basis - even if my age does fluctuate between 8 and 18.

Honestly, I never wish that I could be younger I don't want to live through any of it again. Life is quiet, drama free, my children are grown I damn sure wouldn't want to re-raise them. Life is good. I'm healthy, I'm in good shape, I've met my soulmate, there's nothing that I can think of that I want to go back for.

I miss my 30's a bit.
And i went thru an era of being very psychologically broken and physically ill. I felt like id aged 20 years in just 5.
I really missed my youth then.
But now, well....im turning that clock back. Im working on flipping that switch and enjoyjng improving my health.
In years to come, i plan to hit 60....feeling 40💪

Nope, hasn't happened.
When I was young I looked at the Lego and thought when I was older I'd be able to afford all the Lego I wanted. Now I'm an adult and thought I was over it... Till:

🤷♂ And I'm still not able to afford it 😭😭

Last week, when my back played up again and I needed a fork lift truck to bring my meds home from the pharmacy.

I had a short range from about 20 to 25 where I was pretty happy with my age. 35 or so for wanting to be younger, I guess.

It's getting to me now. I know I'm not old but I wish I was 25 or 28. I think that's the peak age.

At 30 right after college. Yes I graduated collage late. It hit me like a train!

I have never wished to be younger, just as healthy as I was when I was younger..🤔
FreddieUK · 70-79, M
@NotLooking2Play Does that mean you had a particularly unhealthy childhood, or you have an exceptionally healthy old age. I realise that you're declared age is not true, but comparing your health now to then when we don't know what "now" is makes it difficult to know whether to be pleased for you or not. 🤔

For me it was about the time I lost my parents.
I just wish my knees still felt younger. Maybe my back too
Poppies · 61-69, F
Maybe about 65...... the 50s were actually pretty great.

I never wanted to grow up. I never saw myself as an adult. I loved my teenage years and early 20s and then being married in my 20s and 30s… but I never really had a job. I never became a real grown-up.
