Remember when you were a child....

you just couldn't wait to grow up, get older so you could do more things that grown ups or older children could do? You just wished you to be older.

Then eventually, you got to an age were now you wish you were young again.
So the question I ask is,
at what ages did you stop wishing to be older and start wishing to be younger?

I don't wish to be older or younger. I basically stopped aging at the age of 18... presumably during the crisis where the trauma I was going through that year got too much for me to carry anymore.

For the longest time, I got lost in Depersonalisation/Derealisation disorder - and, when I came back, life had gone on around me. People aged... I did not.

I'd rather have dissociation than that... at least my alters usually share enough for the system as a whole to function on a daily basis - even if my age does fluctuate between 8 and 18.

Honestly, I never wish that I could be younger I don't want to live through any of it again. Life is quiet, drama free, my children are grown I damn sure wouldn't want to re-raise them. Life is good. I'm healthy, I'm in good shape, I've met my soulmate, there's nothing that I can think of that I want to go back for.

I had a short range from about 20 to 25 where I was pretty happy with my age. 35 or so for wanting to be younger, I guess.

It's getting to me now. I know I'm not old but I wish I was 25 or 28. I think that's the peak age.

Last week, when my back played up again and I needed a fork lift truck to bring my meds home from the pharmacy.
I just wish my knees still felt younger. Maybe my back too

I never wanted to grow up. I never saw myself as an adult. I loved my teenage years and early 20s and then being married in my 20s and 30s… but I never really had a job. I never became a real grown-up.
