A bit of everything, really. Generally very busy in seeing family who are a distance away, but missing mum who died many years ago now, in November, so always have those feelings too.

Yes, and more so over the years. With my wife's dementia it's more and more lonely around the holidays because I'm not sure just how much she understands/remembers or can/will participate.

Lost mum and dad on different Easter’s and lst lost nana on a Christmas dad dad had the Christmas Day phone call
And lost my brother on Christmas Eve not even. 40 years old
I now 65 and still have a moment on Christmas a what if moment . And then I see my daughter and grand children and count my blessings . As a grandad . Both my grand dads pass before I was born so they never knew us

Add guilty to that list and yes, pretty much.
Family scattered (so i couldn't be with everyone)
Caring for an elderly parent in one county so I can't get to the other in another. And he has dementia.
Lost a Grandparent Christmas week too !
Always hate this time of year.

Nah, I can't stand this time of year. Shops get crowded, traffic gets congested, my parents nag me about getting together with relatives that love to have a dick measuring contest. The questioning of why I don't have a girlfriend yet or why i haven't landed that great job yet, etc, etc.
Then there's my mom who thinks she's required to break the bank every Christmas to get people gifts. I tell her every year, I'm thrilled just to spend time with her.
I don't need more THINGS. I got enough THINGS. I don't need this years new escapism screen or anything fancy. I don't need or want any of it.
I'm quite behind with lots of pop culture stuff and I'm okay with that because it allows me to save money.
I just watched that whole super hero Marvel Avengers stuff and I gotta say, I'm glad I didn't pay to watch them in theaters because it definitely wouldn't have been worth $10-15 for each showing of those. 😄
I also don't like how nearly every business shuts down. It's like they expect us all to celebrate holidays. Some of us would rather work and stay productive than be forced to take the day off.
I always found it funny when customers would pity me for working on Christmas Eve. I loved it because it kept me away from awkward conversations with relatives I really didn't wanna see.

Nah, I'm a lucky one, I have lots family and friends that care about me and force me to do stuff with them.
The older I'm getting the less I want to do things. So sometimes I need that push

I do. Because due in part to things that have happened over the years, and in part to the death of my maternal grandmother who used to be the center of every winter festival gathering, I don't get those big family gatherings anymore. The white elephant exchange, the feast, and even the awkward conversations with people you only see once or twice a year, are all denied to me, and I miss them.

Thankfully, no but I know it's a difficult time for a lot and that genuinely sucks. I try and do my part in the small ways I know how to.
Never heard it called that... But no. I don't get lonely ever. I just kind of do my thing.

I feel similarly lonely year-round. There's always going to be something for my brain to pick at.

I feel disconnected from them as they have all become marketing campaigns used against us.

Only if you count the first week of January. I tend to feel pretty low at that time.

Festival time? Dafuq? I feel lonely and low most of the time, regardless of what festivals are occurring.

In general, Yes.
Not specifically during festival time.
