Cilantro. It tastes like soap
FoxyGoddess · 51-55, F
@Shawnspencer I would be so upset if it tasted like soap to me. Sorry you experience that. It's not fair you don't get to enjoy it.
bijouxbroussard · F
I try really hard not to hate.
I’ve had the life experience of being actively and openly hated, and it’s too easy to return those sentiments.
I’m not sure who originally said it, but hating is like taking poison oneself and expecting it to harm the object of that hatred.
It isn’t good for you. 😔

@bijouxbroussard Agree 💯

Hate is a strong word. Ive only ever found it useful to get me off of drugs many years ago. I had to and wanted to grow a hatred for it. After about 3 years of building that mindset it set me free. The only time a negative became a positive.
FoxyGoddess · 51-55, F
@Perry1968 Hate is a word. It's the power you give the word that causes problems.
Perry1968 · M
@FoxyGoddess I agree its a word. But its powerful. Most who say hate really mean dislike. Hence for me hatred is a very strong word
HijabaDabbaDoo · F
Any feelings of hate I have usually kicks in for self preservation. I don't hate easily. I either hate the version of myself brought out around a particular person or because I don't have any respect because of the type of person you are and therefore hate your energy and what comes with it. I also hate injustice. I don't hate with passion unless I need it as a fuel to get something done. In general I find it draining. It's much like anger for me. I don't discourage any emotion but I know which ones drain me.
so even when I feel it. You're more likely to find me in the line of indifference once I've processed my dislike for someone.

@HijabaDabbaDoo
Totally same. Once I've worked through my emotions, that person no longer exists in my life because I have completely stopped caring they exist in my world. I am free to walk away and forget them

Never thought about that, it comes rarely to me when I see or hear something depending on the scenario. Mostly it's a feeling of sadness looking at the circumstances. Because when i know i cannot do anything/much, I atleast stop having that grudge because that negative emotion can only do harm to myself.
PerfectionOfTheHeart · 46-50, F
My hatred is intertwined with the pain that others have willingly brought to my door. It holds hands with my confusion, my insecurity, my inability to understand how people can do the things they do despite my knowledge of their inner workings. My hatred is a product of being reminded how small I am…how insignificant I am…how powerless I am and unfortunately it will always brew inside of me as long as my heart continues to connect with others. It’s why I have to soak up as much light as I can to just be able to function properly, and why I have to step back suddenly when I begin to smell the signature of a familiar fuel that’ll feed it too much.
FreddieUK · 70-79, M
I don't do 'hate'. I can be angry against injustice and dislike intensely some people's actions, but I don't hate in that visceral way that won't let go and poisons one's life.
ScreamingFox · 41-45, F
My thoughts are we hate certain things we can't control, which allows them to control us.
I don't have much hate in me anymore.
I do hate the man that conned and destroyed my mother and took everything left to my son and I. I can't seem to let it go. I wish I had my mom back especially at this age in my life when I understand her so much more. He took her from us for his own selfish wants. There was nothing I could do. And I'm not proud, but I still curse him.

I hate it when children are in my space. I do this because of narcissistic injury. My ex got an abortion after I got her pregnant (we thought she was sterile). I supported her, but I came to hate what I had done. So it's displaced self-hatred. I project what I lost onto others' kids.
BlobbyMcBlobface · 100+, M
Hate is overused, a lot of the younger generation tend to think criticism is hate or someone not agreeing, the hate card is thrown around like confetti so the true meaning has become diluted in tne same way as 'awesome' and 'excited' have.
I strongly dislike a lot of things but I hate paedophiles, terrorists and racists, I also hate our fake prime minister and that terrorist sympathising racist who calls himself the Mayor of London.

I don’t hate anything or anyone. Why should I waste my energy and time on something that would remain meaningless to me all my life?
SlippingAway · 46-50, F
I really don't hate anyone, I may strongly dislike someone but never hate
Livingwell · 61-69, M
I try to not hate. It only owns you in the end.

I don't hate anyone. At times, I kind of hate my job though. That's because I have to deal with the shit that other's leave behind for me to do.
FoxyGoddess · 51-55, F
@HowtoDestroyAngels I have learned to just stack that work up and put it at the place the person who was supposed to do it sits. Then when I get asked where it is, I point and say, "Over there. They didn't do it."
If I'm asked after that, I'll take care of it. As long as the person in charge is aware of who is slacking, I'm good.

@FoxyGoddess That's a great strategy. I think I'm going to start utilizing it.

I hate injustice. Not lying as such but the whole Prince Andrew stance in life. Nope, you're not so entitled even as Emperor of China
FoxyGoddess · 51-55, F
@val70 Injustice is such a huge rage button for me whether it is against me or other people, regardless of their relation to me.
MayorOfCrushtown · M
I hate onions. And mayonnaise. And liver.

I hate bullies
FoxyGoddess · 51-55, F
@mindless What is the basis for your hate?
mindless · M
@FoxyGoddess they do a lot to persistent damage without purpose other than a brief moment of perverse joy for themselves
Bullies are lowlife bottom feeders, a societal pest and a toxic plague in any community

Just look at all the repression in this thread.
