Shopping at Walmart.

I despise their tactics of taking over small towns, and I do not love their underhanded methods of getting lower prices, but I've come to realize that when dealing with a capitalist corporation, there are no good ones. There are just varying degrees of evil.

I can't say that I really enjoy shopping with them now, but they have lower prices and a greater variety of diabetic friendly options, and unlike a certain store chain with a bullseye for a logo, they haven't completely abandoned their queer customers.

@LordShadowfire They seem to have their a55 between both chairs.
Their stock price seems to be doing miserably over the past year.

It just seems to me that when companies get overly involved in political virtue signaling, eventually it will backfire.

In other words, a typical capitalist company. No politics, only profit.

I don't love that phrase, as it's mostly used by the right to disparage any opinions that don't align with the Trump camp. I'm not saying that's you, I just get uneasy when I hear that phrase. Perhaps you might explain what you mean by virtue signaling?
HoeBag · 46-50, F
@LordShadowfire Virtue signaling - well you know how companies are, they pretend to care about whatever is en vogue. For a while it was LGBT, BLM, whatever. But then the tRump admin came in and suddenly companies pretend like those things do not exist.

Although, at least they are not openly pushing the specific tRump ideology or selling displays of MAGA merch.

But now the Right does their own virtue signaling, like pretending to give a rat's about Kirk's bucket kicking or when they say "thoughts and prayers".

Nothing. I was not given to "swearing to hatred" of anything forever. The few hatreds I once had arose from hurt. And I have forgiven the people who hurt me.
BlobbyMcBlobface · 100+, M
The word 'hate', the same as 'excited' and 'epic' has almost lost its meaning due to overuse and wrong context. I prefer to say I dislike someone or something.
Online shopping 😩😭
